"Weird environment. Bunch of employees walking around and talking but difficult to get help from someone. I think they spend chatting 30 minutes per customer like they are buying a new car. There might be more efficient way to provide customer service"

"I love REI Today I got some sweat from Ari the gorgeous cashier gal about my return. -YOU DONT KNOW? YOU BETTER ASK SOMEBODY- She asked a manager and he was like yeah return it. So I still got my way and came up on some really cool new kicks. On my way out Ela was very helpful and also a very Gorgeous Queen!"

"I’ve been coming here for a few years now, but in the past few months I’ve been getting lots of suspicious looks. I started mostly ordering online because anytime I go near the climbing gear there’s an employee eyeing me up and trying to ‘help’ me every 90 seconds. Today I went in to the store so I could try on some shoes and was actually followed around by the plainclothes loss prevention guy. Just because he’s in jeans does not mean he’s slick, he’s talking into a walkie and speed walking around the store. I will probably be going to nomad ventures for any in person try-on, and I would strongly recommend young minority men not to shop here. It’s really sad because I love REI, anytime I need last minute gear while I’m traveling, I go to an REI."

"Wow am I impressed with the staff here. Honestly I have never had a better customer service experience. Not only was each staff member exceptionally knowledgeable they were also very kind and eager to find the best suited product. Went in for rock climbing shoes not really knowing what I wanted and came out with the perfect pair. Thank You so so much!"

"REI (Recreational Equipment,Inc.) is more than just a store and employees. Their staff goes above and beyond just putting in work hours. They are educated, helpful, and go out of their way to ensure you are getting the best equipment for what you need. They do offer a membership into their co-op, however you do not have to join. By joining though, you are helping not only yourself getting money back at the end of the year but you are helping REI to donate millions of dollars to help national organizations across our country.
