Walgreens 1130 Bird Avenue, San Jose, CA 95125

"I live on the east side and work in Willow Glen, in fact one block from this Walgreens. I came by to make a return while on my lunch and the white kid with the long BLONDE hair (Jacob)and glasses was instantly hostile to me. His first comment was “this wasn’t purchased here.” I said “yes I work nearby which is why I wanted to return it on my lunch.” He refused to look at me and processed the return then asked for my ID EVEN THOUGH I HAD MY RECEIPT. I asked why? It was only $20 of items to return. He said its his right. I handed my ID. I AGAIN asked what difference it made returning it here vs the store near my house and he claimed he has a budget to make and he doesn’t HAVE to return it. I told him his comments were inappropriate. He asked how. I explained it to him three times stating it felt like I was being profile because I’m brown. He scoffed saying that what I said was inappropriate & that he was refusing my return. I’ve never been so disgusted. It’s 2024, I didn’t think we still racially profiled people."

"Their system was down for a day, and they have no way of transferring a prescription to another Walgreens, absolutely horrible. I chose this pharmacy because it was open later than the other ones around me, and ended up having to go to the health provider the day after to change my pharmacy. Absolutely horrible. Never going to a Walgreens again."

"We usually get our prescriptions here as we could walk here from home. The staff in the pharmacy is very friendly and helpful. I also like to use their FedEx drop off and pick up service here."

"The store is completely run down. Nothing like it was pre pandemic. Even in comparison to 8 months ago it is drastically worse now. There are locks on so many of the items due to theft and no shopping baskets available at all through the store. It is highly under staffed and the younger employees are very rude and move slow and can't pack a shopping bag to save their lives. I won't be returning there again which is a shame since it's been my neighborhood store for more than 20 years"
