99 Cents Only Stores

"Cashier over charged for items. Aluminum 2 pack pans were counted by cashier as individuals. Clearly it says right on it 2 pack and were taped together as so. I did not notice until I got home and I called the store and the lady on phone insisted the were sold individually, then said I could come back to store for credit (Gift Card). They do not give money back only store credit for returns or exchange. I was not returning or exchanging anything. Buyer beware when cashier is ringing up your items that they are scanning each item so they can avoid this mistake. Not manually typing in what they think you have any scanning one of the same item. A customer should not have to pay for a cashiers mistake. The store keeps your money either way. I know it's only a few dollars, but as a senior on a fixed income it matters, plus it the principle. As of today I have yet to receive Gift card from customer and its been almost a month. 2/27/2024"

"Came in to shop a couple days ago and this woman was handling the small plant section. I began looking through them and was ready to put one in my cart when she aggressively took it out of my hands, and said she had picked that out for herself already. I was absolutely baffled that an associate would do such thing! I myself have worked in retail and typically if you are stocking an item you cannot hold it until after your shift. Watch out for this one!"

"This store has deteriorated after pandemic, even after adding $(1-8) range products, not staffed properly. Profits may be too attractive. Some products are over priced like greeting cards., but there are other products at the brand price."

"I have seen and had the pleasure to meet Ronnie Miller working at the store in Fremont, California on Fremont boulevard for five years now. I’ve always been impressed with his work. He is super friendly and very helpful! He always has a good attitude! I can tell he takes pride in his job! I have seen him take well care of the store itself, including customer safety and store asset protection. HE IS THE BEST EMPLOYEE HERE! GIVE THIS MAN A RAISE!!! HE DESERVES IT!"

"Was a complete mess when I went in last. Had no cart or baskets to use. I was 8 monthes pregnant and when I asked to use the restroom they refused and said no bathroom to the public. I asked if they could make a expectation for me due to me being pregnant, I promised I planned on purchasing items. Still said no. I came here for party supplies. The whole party isle was disoriented, disorganized, product thrown everywhere probably from not refacing for a few days or rude customers not putting stuff back. I love there selection of decor and friend veggies and kitchen utensils. I like how most is 99 cents but ofter better items for a little bit more money. The store could really use a refacing team probably on a daily basis."
