"They have a good, organized selection of fasteners but shopping here lately sucks. If you're even remotely melanated you're going to get followed throughout the store/and or condescended to by a bunch of their (almost entirely white) staff. Not really a good strategy for repeat customers in a town as diverse as Fremont, and lately I've been finding that if I can find it at Home Depot I'll go there instead."

I've been going to Dale Hardware for decades, and I can honestly say that there's really no hardware store that compares to Dale's when it comes to customer service. The employees here are friendly and knowledgeable, and there have been very few times when I've gone in that they haven't been able to help me solve a home or garden problem. The store carries a wide variety of products, has a drive in lumberyard, a fairly extensive and well taken care of garden center, and just recently opened a pet supply area. For those who love unique houseplants, the store also occasionally gets some pretty difficult to find plants coming through. The store is clean, well organized, and there is plenty of parking. Overall, it's a great local hardware store that is definitely worth checking it."
