El Gordo Mexican Food

"Lots to select from with very nice authentic dishes. Hand made tortillas! Definitely recommend. And if anyone wants boba there’s a shop in the same parking lot. At first I was reluctant to eat here as it seemed like another whatever Mexican food place. I only stopped by because my son wanted the hot Cheetos Burrito. I didn’t feel like driving to Lupes Mexican Eatery(the hot Cheetos burrito is better but salsas suck). Once I saw the salsa bar with my favorite green chili and orange one too, I was happy! After trying out different items from the menu, I was hooked. Been coming here more often now. Con’s: Surf & turf burrito is too small (the other burritos are decent) Vallartas does it better. Hot Cheetos burrito comes with fries, I always ask to swap fries for rice & extra chipotle sauce. It’s better!"

"Great Authentic Mexican food. Super casual and easy. If you want to go all out and order 8-10 things to share with another person plus two sodas you’ll pay about $50. My husband and I ordered Al pastor tacos, (my favorite) carnitas, and a quesadilla with nopales, (cactus) plus 2 fountain sodas. The carnitas are very Smokey in flavor so I can only do one, but the al pastor is something you can just keep eating. I have been to El Gordo in San Diego, which is why I came here. The food at this one is good but it is not as good as the one in San Diego. I think it’s just not as clean or well kept."

"Outstanding! Extensive menu. I only had the Buffalo chicken nachos - were great!! I'm guessing anything else on the menu is too. Excellent flavor! Fresh ingredients!"

"The enchiladas were good! The sauce was really good; nice flavor, mellow, smooth, and they were loaded with shredded chicken which also had a nice flavor. Sat inside due to rain, cute table set up, roomy, comfortable, welcoming. Loved the menu board! Almost everything had a picture-so you know what you're getting and it even looked better than the picture when it was served!"
