"We stopped in for lunch and we loved this place. The owner seated us and served us, so the service (and conversation) was outstanding. As nice and attentive as she was, the pizza was the star of the show. Some of the best crust and sauce we have had in San Diego and the cheese and toppings were high quality too. Top all that off with a fun, but still family vibe and a nice beer and wine selection, and you have yourself a winner. Find your way to Pacific Beach to enjoy this little gem - they’re doing things the right way here."

"If you're looking for super high quality Italian American food, you've found it. The owner is super nice and attentive, everything was made to order in a very timely manner, and yes, the sauce absolutely slaps! Definitely try the meatball appetizer!"

"I cant speak on service or vibes cause I had it delivered...but it may have the best vegan alfredo Ive ever had and its not even a vegan place! Garlic sticks were tasty, vegan meatball had great flavor, a little mushy but flavor made up for it. Meatlovers vegan pizza was also very tasty (but maybe drizzle a little olive oil over it? The vegan meat was just a bit dry- not their fault of course- great flavor though). Cant wait to try out more!"

"We absolutely love this place. The vegan options are phenomenal and the owner is very welcoming. We ordered the vegan cheese bread, the Jalapeño vegan cheese bread, vegan pizzas and the vegan cold cut sandwich. The food tasted great as always."

"I used to go to Marino's back in the day. It was one of my favorite mom and pop italian places. This place is now under new ownership, but the service, friendliness and food are still fantastic. The atmosphere has an old dark atmosphere, like something out of a mob movie. I had the garlic noodles with chicken and the meatballs. The noodles was angelhair with just the right amount of drenched garlic. It was great to have this type of option for a lighter pasta dish. The meatballs have cheese inside them. The balls are tender enough for substance, yet soft and flavorful at the same time. I'm italian, and honestly, they might be better than my mothers. Don't tell on me please. Aside from the food, the woman who runs the place was on top of it. Friendly and hardworking, you can tell she cares about the place. If you are looking for an old school dining experience with greater food, check out sauced in PB. There should be more places that provide this kind of quality, affordability and friendliness."
