"The food is nothing special, just classic American food. I ordered the tuna and it was genuinely pretty good, but the prices were a bit high. The seating was not very comfortable and it was a bit cold inside the restaurant. However, the cashier was relatively friendly. In terms of the food, I felt that the portions were a bit small so I wish they gave a bit more veggies, which wouldn't add to their costs too much but would also feel more like a meal."
"Pretty disappointed from this last experience at tender greens. This used to be my favorite dish. This time the chicken was bone dry and flavorless. The seasonal veggies consisted of just carrots and a few mushrooms, and the overall taste was just not good. Not sure what has happened to the quality of the food here. What a disappointment.."
"When I go here I like to think of Milo and what his square meal looked like. This is what I imagine. Not anything extraordinary or terrible. Nothing too filling but not too light. Not meat heavy, veggie only, or gluten free. Just an overall "square meal' is what you can expect. This is what classic San Diego fair is. P.S bring back the butter lettuce."
"Review of Tender Greens: "I'm quite disappointed with my recent experience at Tender Greens. I'm not sure what has changed, but the quality seems to have drastically declined. I ordered a salmon and chicken meal to-go, and to my dismay, both the salmon and chicken were overcooked, losing their natural flavors and juiciness. Additionally, the salad was a letdown – it was wilted and frankly inedible. This is not the Tender Greens I remember from the past. I hope they can address these issues soon.""
"I've given this place two chances, both with the same experience. I placed a pickup order in person, and had to wait over 10 minutes. The food was handed to me completely room temperature and if mediocre quality. One of my two orders was missing a sauce that was supposed to be included in my bowl. Waits are fine, a missing item is fine. What's absurd is being served multiple dishes completely unheated and old. I strongly recommend against ordering at this location."
