"If I could give 4.5 stars I would. The place is very clean, ascetics are very pleasing, great location, terrific service. I just couldn't figure out if I actually liked the burger. It had a backend taste that I couldn't figure out, could have been the caramelized onions and whatever they were cooked in or with. They were also a bit slimy for me. I will try the shack burger next time (no slimy onions). The fries were good, and decent ranch. So, still not sure if I'm a fan. I will update when I try the regular burger."

"I’ve been to this location several times. The food is consistently hot and fresh. The last time, my bag was missing one of the items I ordered, but I didn’t notice until I got home. I called the store, but they were unable to give me a credit over the phone. I returned last night and Josh was wonderful. He listened and provided an apology and a solution. Great service!"

"I’m happy that Shake Shack decided to expand to the west coast. This location is one of the smaller ones in San Diego, but the One Paseo area is nice enough to take your order to go and enjoy outside somewhere. Parking is fine, too, since the parking garage is right behind it. I can’t say enough how good the food is."
