"This location(Mission Bay) Rubio is very small parking lot and inside the restaurant as well. when you order food and at lunch time there are some people can not even get inside for the line to order. It’s very tiny indoor eating area against the windows but the some people are waiting for the order right next to you and too narrow. There’s outside eating area covered (it’s out side the tiny building) but those area for salsa sauce, actually I see some flies there. So I don’t think it’s very clean. The fish taco I ordered is little watery compared to the other locations. Just because so many customers are waiting I wanted to go to the restroom and the woman employee is very unfriendly didn’t want to tell me the restroom code she even though was sitting by the restroom and it’s just because she’s mean. Other staff are too busy to making the foods for those line. Who I suppose to ask if everyone is busy there?! Be friendly to your customers. I would not go back to this location Rubio’s any longer."

"The founding location for Rubio's, it's very much in-line with more traditional taco shops in San Diego. Cramped, busy, but the food is high quality, and they work fast. Looks are not much, but we go to these places for the food, which again, is great here. So if you want a taste and visit of "Fresh Mex" history, look no further than here."

"Phenomenal fish tacos. The perfect crunch in each bite together with scratch made salsa that takes flavor to a whole new level. The roasted chipotle and picante are my favorites but it’s all amazing. Rubios when will you be coming to Texas?"
