Poki Bowl

"To whoever manages this restaurant: 1. You need to coach your employees to have basic customer service skills like greeting customers and asking questions. When I walked up to the counter the girl who was working did not even say hello and acted as if I was inconveniencing her. It was not busy and me and my girlfriend were the only customers there at the time. 2. The appearance of your employees says a lot about how this place is managed. Not only do they seem extremely unmotivated but their clothing and attitudes are very unprofessional. 3. I get it, many young people nowadays are actually difficult to employ due to their attitudes about the workplace as well as their work ethic. Saying that, I am also a young person and despite being 22 years old I hold a supervisor position at a retail store. If I was management I would be extremely uncomfortable at the fact that my employees show such lack of customer service skills in a business such as this eatery that relies on things such as atmosphere and reputation to bring customers in. Simply put: do better and observe/coach your employees more effectively."

"This place was nothing special. The food had no flavor (spicy tuna with no spice) and the portions were ridiculously small. Legit let down by the reviews I read about this spot, I had high hopes. This place is a last resort at best."

"The bowl was great, with lots of toppings and protein options. I was a little disappointed they did not have their own Poki sauce. But it was very tasty, and I will be back. It would be good if they had hot tea. But hey..."

"Paid $17 for a bowl with spicy tuna and salmon. Wanted to love it but It was below average. Found out after I asked for it the seaweed salad is extra so is the edamame. Toppings are limited and so are the sauces. There are plenty of better options in the area for the price point."

"I've been to a lot of poke places. This is a familiar setup, think Chipotle. You go down the line choosing rice/salad, meat and toppings. Overall it was good, fresh fish. I rate it 4 stars because the amount of fish given was much less than any poke places I've been, it's a bit unfortunate for the $15 price of a regular bowl. The upside is they don't charge for avocado and in a strange twist they do change $1 extra for edamame."
