"Went here 10 years ago and it was awful... 10 years later I had to try it again. I was curious and the Queen Mary is an experience in itself so why not? Reservation was at 7pm but had to wait anyway so we sat at the bar. Awesome bartender! Then we got sat at our table... luckily we had our drinks however 20 minutes later I needed to ask our hostess for service. We did eventually get a waitress and she was great. The food itself was just... bad. The clam chowder they are named after shaped to the plate it was in, like how meat grease does when you put it in the fridge. I refuse to blame the staff, they are obviously overwhelmed and have too much to deal with. What I don't understand is what is going on with the kitchen the menu is very limited and tbh pretty simple. Also maybe lack of staff.. Either way the chowder is a different level of hell please don't eat it."

"Getting a window table location looking out over the water to Long Beach was an ideal spot to place the nations most historically (still floating) ship; Queen Mary. Take a history tour to fill in the rest of this story. For the food, go with the name chowder, as in the name “chowder”. Best on West Coast / big bowl of clam chowder."

"Had a wonderful dinner here with my friends during our one-night stay while attending Japanese Classic Car Show. The service was impeccable and we enjoyed our meals of burgers and salad with some chicken karaage for an appetizer. Reservations fill up early though but we didn't have an issue getting seated at least when we arrived late on a Friday night after a long drive from Arizona. The following evening we tried to grab a meal after the car show before leaving but they were booked until much later so we opted to head out and eat on the road."
