"My family used to come here when I was young many years ago and had some great culinary affairs with the cuisine. So i decided to try it out again. Well, some romances are in the past for good reason. The atmosphere is cultural, but dark colors, low lighting, and fading red paint, dim the vitality and aura considerably. I ordered garlic chicken for lunch. Good amount of vegetables and chicken, but everything seemed washed out like my faded memories of the place. VERY SOGGY. The food was lacking in flavor like a muted watch of one of your favories old series."
"Ordered delivery, an hr before they close. Friday night. Good portion, good flavor, hits that craving. The Sesame balls were delicious! Fresh soft, toasty and not to sweet. Orange chicken was great flavor and had yummy minced garlic bits -not overpowering just nice touch. The broccoli beef had nice flavor, the broccoli isn’t over cooked. But their sliced beef is very soft? Maybe over tenderized? Not my favorite. Sweet and sour chicken good flavor hot and crispy - packaged separately from sauce to keep crisp - chicken a bit dry but usually is with SnS chicken. The pan fired house noodles were BOMB, also packaged separately to keep noodles crisp and not over cooked- my favorite (besides the sesame balls). Not in plastic bags - packed in cardboard box to carry everything. Honey walnut shrimp was decent -typical"
"The Honey Walnut Chicken is soggy and greasy; I didn't think I'd be one to send back food, but I got the Mongolian Beef instead. Credit to the Beef: it has the taste and texture more like beef liver than actual beef, and that's actually more expensive than beef at restaurants. It's still not something I enjoy, but I'm bringing it home for sad leftovers. The waitress is honestly the most clueless woman I ever got served. Kept asking me exactly what I wanted, but at least confirmed the price with me. For 5 extra dollars, you can get strangely unpleasant steamed rice and decent hot and sour soup with really soggy wontons and an egg roll I left alone. I think the restaurant caters to people who don't know any better. You can get better value at a Panda Express. Edit: Even the obligatory fortune cookie tasted stale and soggy. Edit 2: I have sudden cramps and feel like my stomach is churning. Won't outright say it's food poisoning, but it definitely feels like it. Lowered it to one star."
"Good Chinese food. Parking on the road there is a dedicated lot nearby. Ambiance is good but there is typical musky smell not overpowering. Food portions are big so order carefully. BBQ steak was super, sesame chicken was too sweet and broccoli too big. Chicken fried rice, kungpoa shrimp were delicious. Steamed dumplings was very dry not great. Overall a good Chinese restaurant in downtown Long Beach"
