"Employee Liliana was the customer service side for order pickup and she told me to go to the pro side to pick up a order and she went on lunch and came back and helped me again after 40 mins of waiting . She didn’t even bother looking for the order she just kept saying it was misplaced. What a waste of time . She walks around like no one knows how to do the job but she’s clueless. Then I realized there’s an item missing after one hour."

"This is a true story from about a week ago. I am standing in Home Depot waiting for someone to come cut a single piece of plywood (the day before I was there too and they told me saw was broken) After about 10 minutes and asking various employees who said someone will be right over, I ended up going to the Pro Counter waiting for 5 minutes for someone to look like they might help. They didn't. Eventually, I just went to a checkout and asked them to call someone to come cut wood. They do. 15 minutes later. Nobody shows up - still waiting. I then go to Customer Service and ask for store manager. Manager doesn't show up. I then tell the clerk I will wait for manager or whomever at the saw where my word is waiting to be cut. After 5 minutes of waiting. Home Depot manager still not there. DrumRoll ...... I call Miner's Ace. Hunter answers the phone. I inquire about price and availability of 4'x8' 1/2 inch plywood. It's a few more dollars ($6 to be exact). But Hunter says I'll cut it now and it will be ready for you by the time you arrive. Phone in hand, I talk to Hunter as I walk out store. Still no sight of anybody from Home Depot coming to cut my plywood. 7 minutes later, I pull up behind Miner' Ace and Hunter loads my car. I spent 54 minutes in Home Depot. I spent 7 minutes driving to Ace and 1 minute walking to front of store to pay. Moral of the story: You might pay a few dollars more at Miner's Ace, but you will save in time, frustration, and more - the plywood was so much better quality. At Home Depot it was splintered, fractured, and flimsy. At Ace, it was quality. Every person at Home Depot seemed like they wanted to avoid you. At Ace, they come to you with a genuine smile and are willing (and able) to help and assist. Shane the Assistant Manager was running checkout. I told Shane about the polar opposite experience with Home Depot and how Hunter won me over for good. Ace is the place of the helpful hardware folks. It's for real - not just a jingle. And I am a genuine real customer. I will never return to Home Depot."

"The five star reviews seem fake because customer service has been declining for years at this store. Here is a true story about my experience yesterday and today Jan 3rd and 4th - but with a great silver lining. Yesterday I bought $100 of various things for a garage project sans the plywood. The lumber person told me the saw was broken. It wasn't - he just didn't want to cut plywood. Today, I called before going and asked if saw was working. It was. I then arrived. I asked for someone to help me with playwood cuts. And a Pro associate and the Pro Services area called over the phone for customer assistance at the lumber saw. I waited. I waited. I finally went to customer service - at this point 45 minutes had expired. After waiting for the manager for 5 minutes I went to the lumber saw. Still nothing. I then called Miner's Ace on Fairview. Hunter answered the phone. I asked if they had 1/2 inch plywood. They did. He also said he would have it cut by the time I arrived. After waiting in Home Depot for 45 minutes, Ace Hardware had my wood cut ready to pickup before I was out of the Home Depot parking lot. Yes, the plywood cost $6 more. But the wood was better quality than the cheap 15/32 Home Depot had, and the customer service of Ace saved me time. Shane the Assistance Store Manager at Ace was also excellent. I had a pro account at Home Depot, but from now on - I pledge to never return to Home Depot ever again. Ace is the place with the helpful hardware folks - and that's for sure. My time is valuable. Home Depot Corporate needs to address their lack of customer service."

"Shockingly bad service, employees treat you like you're not worth talking to. Talked to four different people, all different forms of unhelpful or downright wrong information. We had two questions in the lumber department and were obviously struggling to locate cedar and determine what would be best for our project. We got a ten second answer before the employee went down the aisle to talk to two other idle employees, making jokes about how they had nothing to do. We had to approach them again for clarification, and they sent us across the store to the garden department which did not have additional cedar board options as they suggested. While in the garden department we asked for directions to weed ground cover, and were told the completely wrong/opposite location to look "if we have it." Finally, we asked for a price check on a 1.5'x2' scrap mahogany board- $43? No explanation. What could have been a 30-45min trip was twice as long and many times more exasperating."
