Plato's Closet Pacifica

"Just ok (as far as Plato’s goes). The old location had a lot more product (and in turn choices). What I notice now is predominantly small sizes and low quality stuff. There used to be a plethora to choose from sizes and styles and now either because they keep a backstock of “out of season” stuff, or they just got rid of a LOT (like half the store), it’s not as good. Giving 3 stars based on my experience with Plato’s Closets over the last decade and through several states. The San Mateo store has an entire back room of sale items- so I’d try that one. Also the fake flooring is coming up (from water damage it seems?) and a tripping hazard, so be careful in here."

"This location has really went down hill especially since the downsize. As expected it’s a transition, but it shouldn’t compromise the staffs attitude or customer service. For one, things are never organized properly. Unfortunately most of their things seems to be smaller sizes. Then there’s often times where I finally find something I really like in the large sizes, I check- and it’s a small in the wrong spot. It happens frequently, annoying.. whatever it’s thrift, keep shopping. Finally find a few items I wanted to purchase, and go get in line. Employees are all standing around, organizing their stuff, but nobody behind the counter. After a few minutes somebody came, I said hey and no response. She proceeded to rummage thru the bins behind the counter without even addressing me, or saying that they couldn’t help but somebody would be right there. Zero acknowledgment. I put my stuff down, left, and have not been back. Oh yeah… SHEIN is same price here used as it is brand new on the site."

"I’ve been selling at platos for quite a while now. This location is so much better than the one in san mateo. This was my second time here and the staff is very friendly and attentive, especially Sara (she was the best). The wait time was surprisingly short for how many people were ahead of me. They buy your items for a decent price and a great way to give your clothes a new life. I wish they had more locations in the city."

"I like coming because there's a wide variety of clothes. Sometimes the prices are a little high just like everting in the bay area. just come here to find clothes and don't expect good customer service. Everyone is rude here. Update: They need to train the employees the store if 50% Shein, it's crazy. Plus the service is so bad specially if you are not a white girly."

"Terrible size range, they have racks upon racks of size Small and XSmall and only a couple items other sizes not only that but they seem to stick to many terrible quality fast fashion items, I really wanna love with place but it’s so hard to shop there. After they moved locations the organization is been terrible and the place is a constant mess, even when I do look in the the size large and Mediums half the stuff is actually a size a small it’s ridiculous. Not to mention the subpar customer service."
