"Just order what you are looking for online, and let this store die with the rest. The shopping experience falls below expectation. I just went back after a few months to look for work cloths. I went to self check out which was new to me because I seemed like it would be faster, as there was some confusion about where the line began, and I was cut off by a group of young ladies. Self check out take so long, there is nowhere to put your hanger and the bags are too small. After checking out I noticed there were security tags one some of my items. I was then told I HAD TO REMOVE THEM MYSELF! They had a thing at the self check where you can’t take it off yourself. So just like all the other stores they are not preventing theft them are making paying customers feel like criminals, this does not prevent theft, if frustrates paying customers."
"My previous review is below. I tried to Kohls again today, 1/16/24, and i still just do not like it. Its got a Sephora in it now but theres a full size Sephora store just across the street in the Target center. I couldnt find what i was looking for and the few things i saw that i liked, finding my size was a full time job because nothing is in order. I was in there about 30 minutes and not a singlr employee asked if i needed assistance. I found a couple things that i really didnt need but probably would have bought in a store with customer service. There prices are way too high for a store that is nothing but chaos. I trulybeish it was better but its never going to be. I'm not a huge fan of Kohls. Frankly, I just go in there to make returns to Amazon. I do look around while I'm in there and what I've noticed is items overpriced that they then say are on sale, making people feel like they are getting a deal but if you compare prices, you'll notice their sale price is the normal price at other stores. In addition, don't even bother to try to get someone to help you. Even if you find an employee, they are always annoyed that you've asked for help. Also, have you noticed how disorganized the store always is? And finally, they have a single line that feeds into multiple cash registers which could work alright, if they ever actually had more than 1 or 2 people working all those registers. I used self checkout the last time I purchased something there. It was friendlier than the staff."
"I was extremely disappointed in my shopping experience on December 9, 2023. I had received a 40% off coupon in my app and right away thought to myself that this would be a perfect time to get a large mixer since I have recently been diagnosed with carpel tunnel and arthritis in both hands. I make homemade Christmas cookies every year and usually mix the dough by hand but knew this would be the year to get a large mixer. I went to the Brentwood California store, grabbed the kitchen aide mixer, and put it in my cart. Now the price was $349.99, and I figured with the coupon it would be $210.00 along with the other purchases I was making. My total bill ended up being $471.72 and this was after I had to put a couple item back since they would not fall under the 40% off coupon. I asked for a manager to come and help me understand why I wasn’t able to get the 40% and she said it was because they were name brand items. I said it doesn’t say that on the coupon and she pulled up the last page on the app and showed me where it said that. I think if you are going to lure people into your store with these types of coupons, you should promote it on the front page of the coupon, not that last page and have it where you have to go through different pages to get to it. I was then told I could use my $10 off coupon and when they scanned it, that didn’t work either. Nor did the $35.00 Kohls cash work, in fact, the checkout lady saw I had $35 in Kohl’s cash and then it disappeared. I’m not sure what kind of scam your company is using but I will make it my goal to inform people that Kohl’s produces coupons that can’t be used and the language if on the very last page of a coupon on the app. Kohl’s has very minimal non name brand items to purchase and by putting these coupons out is just a way to lure you into their stores. Of note, the clerk who waited on my was very understanding but the manager was very cold mannered. Very unsatisfied customer!"
"They offered me a savings of $41.99 on my purchase if I applied for their store card. Then as I was holding up the line filling out the application, they asked for my Social Security number. They cannot be trusted to protect my identity. Your Social Security number is NOT to be used for identification. Identity theft is a serious problem and they should NOT be asking for it. I paused on the opportunity."
"Sales are good. It’s a nice store, very clean, but I could not find what I was looking for. Every time I come though I can’t seem to find what I need. However, my mom loves this store and she loves shopping here. Holiday sales though are always good as well. Maybe next time. FYI, they do sell a variety of things in this store: clothes, jewelry, shoes, suitcases, household items, etc."
