"I needed a repair for a Magic Touch refrigerator and specifically asked if they work on this brand, they said yes. I booked an appointment and on the day they were supposed to arrive, they cancelled because no one was available to fix the refrigerator. Two days later I was told that they do not work on Magic Touch refrigerators and when I ask to talk to the higher ups, I was told they were too busy to talk to me. Hack job customer service."
"I was quoted for $900.00 to have it fix, I think it is a joke, I look on line for possible problem and what he stated in the receipt whats needed to replace and its a $40.00 he's going to replace that seems he doesnt even know what is he doing . Will for sure Yelp this SITE and so wit the business that was contracted to come, Way to go how to ripped people, instead of How to fix appliances. Bad business practice."
"Called for refrigerator repair, was asked my zip code and if it was a side by side or top and bottom. Told him my San Mateo zip code and that it was a top and bottom and he told me that they don't cover that area. ??? According to their website, I am in the same zip code and approximately 6 blocks away! So very strange."
"We have a sub-zero that was not holding temperature and needed a new door gasket. The technician "Tom" gave as an extremely high quote to fix it. For instance on the quote breakdown "Tom" said that it was $1160 to replace the gasket. He said that was mostly the cost of the part, "We charge very little for labor." I called West Coast Parts and the part in question is $90. DO NOT USE this company. They just route you to someone like "Tom" who will rip you off since he is just a gun for hire with no affiliation with the company. After losing a $500 deposit which Appliance Repair would not refund we went with Cannon Appliance in Redwood City - great company - technition was also named Tom, but got the job done at a fair price"
"I enlisted the services of Appliance Repair, their service man showed up on time. He spent twenty minutes fiddling with the wires but not doing anything to them on my gas cooktop, then said he would need to order the parts. After four days and not hearing from him, I called him back, his response was that Viking no longer made the parts for my repair. I called Viking directly with my model number and the cooktop was still in production and all parts available. I called Appliance Repair to contest the $59 charge but they said because I had attempted the repairs myself the charges would be upheld. The only thing I did was show the repairman that the ignitor was not functioning. I clearly do not think I recieved anything close to $59 worth of service from Appliance Repair."
