"Recently took my c300 in for a vibration at speeds and and issue with the collision assist. Had the vehicle at our family shop prior and was able to re create the vibration with the car off the ground, with no wheels attached. explained this to the dealer upon drop off. Was told by the dealer no problem was found. I guess vibration in a w205 is acceptable? Not sure what to make of this. Asked about the collision assist issue, there is a single sensor in the front bumper on this model. The shop said they need to look at the sensor and quoted me $780 (three hours labor at $260hr) just to diagnose the issue. This seems extremely excessive as I was able to find multiple videos on removal of the front bumper and in each of these videos in took less than an hour, by a non career mechanic at that. I would not suggest going here for service out of pocket nor would I recommend purchasing a Mercedes. I have spent $260 be told there is nothing wrong with my vibration and potentially another $780 to look at a sensor in the front bumper. Keep in mind this is the cost just to diagnose, not repair nor parts factored in."
"Tuesday received a message car coolant was low, called dealership they told me I could come in anytime during service hours. Went in Thursday afternoon to get topped off. Saturday night received an error message that my car overheated, pull over, call roadside service to have the car towed to the closest dealership. It is now Tuesday of the following week, haven’t had my car for 3 days and Mercedes says they don’t have a loaner, don’t offer rentals, and do not provide Uber vouchers. Still don’t have a confirmation when I will receive my car. On a positive note, the service mgr. Greg did try to find me a ride to work this morning. Thank you Greg."
"250 dollars for just a inspection. The inspection was for a stuck latch, I went home and messed around a bit and fixed it myself. I didn't do the inspection but he told me it could cost another 500, they weren't sure but he said it was a guess. This isn't the first they charge unreasonably for basic and small repairs. The only reason they got a 2 not a 1 is because every mercedes dealer is expensive but these guys have a bad attitude. The sales staff is pretty nice however."
