"Prices are WAY too high for a place that gets their stuff for free. I’m talking candles with the original price tags on them and they’re marked up higher than the original. Same with kids outfits. Furniture is also WAY overpriced. No returns. Customer service is meh. There was a floor lamp I tried to buy today that they had out without a price tag. I asked if I could make an offer.. thank god they literally took it out of my hands and said to come back tomorrow because I realized on Amazon they were way cheaper than what I was going to offer lol. Just save the trip and go to a goodwill."
"“They seem to be out for the money.” That’s my impression of City Thrift after several bad experiences. Never with the staff! The staff has been friendly and tried to do what they could. But the policy is meh at best, gouging at worst. With high prices all around like $10 for a damaged book, a no return policy on non-clothing items (even when we could prove that we bought something that turned out to be an empty box with nothing it it), and selling even half used tubs of Vaseline for only 3/4 the price of new, this seems to be a thrift store that’s using all the donations not for the benefit of reselling and reusing but for the money. Which is fine in principle, but the results make for a poor thrift shopping experience."
"I’ve been going here for a while, they always had a good selection, however whoever is pricing stuff lately needs their head checked. Way way overpriced. 149 dollars for a Michael Kors faux leather jacket… which you can get for literally 40 bucks at TJ Maxx new. Furniture and everything is overpriced beat up junk. You have a set of tables that are obviously a set yet you are pricing them separately for 50 bucks a piece is pure greed. There are several other jackets priced way up because the store thinks they are ‘worth something’. You are a thrift store that gets donations for free. Clearly you are not catering to those of low income and that is sickening. I will not be back. I will also be warning others of this location. I won’t be surprised if this place goes out of business eventually."
"cashiers have always been nice... what is up w/ the prices. 8$ for a walmart baby outfit and 7$ for carters pajamas lol might as well by new. the prices have gone way up. gotta be certain employees pricing it differently because there's a pattern... then they sell an actual name brand for 2.99$ lol"
"I used to love this place.. But they're continuously have raised their prices again and again.. These are not thrift store prices."
