Petro's Chili & Chips - Emory Road

"DO NOT RECOMMEND EATING HERE. The Owner is either hateful towards certain people or just only hires people he likes. I had an interview there a couple weeks ago and the Manager there was one of the sweetest and kindest souls ive met. Interview went great and she even offered me a position all she had to do was talk to the owner about it first. 2 Weeks go by and i hear nothing back. I called yesterday and was told by the Owner that " There isnt any positions available and to keep looking for work" Why would there be no positions available right after i was just offered a job at the restaurant???? The staffing and Manager there are genuine and kind souls but the owner is just someone who plays favorites i guess. Sad to see people in this world act like this when we all are struggling in life. Hope everything goes well for the staffing there though "

"The food was great. The gallon of tea that I bought is absolutely disgusting. It tastes like straight up cloves and I had to throw it away. The staff was friendly and the restaurant was clean though and very accommodating when I asked for some Texas Pete and jalapeños."

"Having lunch at one of my favorite food places and this location failed to keep my business. Ordered chicken potato with certain and extra toppings and did not get what I ordered Missed chili,jalapeños, and the rest of the topping portions were less than appealing. No orange slices out for the tea. When I asked for toppings I paid for, i got sarcasm. Had to ask twice. Two other coworkers had the same issues with toppings that were ordered but not received. I am very familiar with restaurant operations ! This location is in need of leadership that is not going to short-cut steps or quality. Potato was also not fully cooked. The ends were hard . I will not return to this location. My hard earned money will be spent elsewhere! Thanks D"

"I waited until after my third visit to write this review. I will not be back to this restaurant! I love petro's and have visited most locations in east TN. Restaurant Cleanliness is the ONLY good thing about this place. Literally, everything else is 1, maybe 2 stars. The whole crew needs retraining, and a new manager that knows what they're doing. Then, I would consider trying it again."
