"We are in Collierville from Tx visiting family. Before we left TX we took our Tahoe to Firestone to get new tires and an alignment. Firestone told us that our ball joints all need to be replaced because they were in terrible condition but said it could wait until we get back in town. When we got to Collierville my husband wanted to go ahead and get them replaced before we traveled back. Southern Automotive was able to get us in very quickly. Once they inspected our SUV they called us to let us know that absolutely nothing was wrong with our ball joints and that our Firestone location in TX was very dishonest trying to charge us almost $1000 for repairs that were not needed. This auto repair shop not only saved us a lot of money but their customer service was outstanding! Extremely kind, respectful & HONEST which is apparently extremely rare nowadays. I would 100% recommend this auto repair business to anyone needing a trustworthy mechanic!!"

"I work my vehicles, and I have looked for ages to find a good knowledgeable shop to bring my Diesel and gas trucks to. Finally given Southern Automotives info, where I found Joe and his staff. Wow! I will never bring my trucks anywhere near any other shop, including the dealer, ever again. Knowledge: there is a major difference between being knowledgeable and having Mastery over a subject matter. Joe and his guys not only are knowledgeable, but have very much shown that they are truly Masters of their craft. They know the theory, they know the application, and they have the experience. Quality: shops have to make money, it's a fact of life. But I have never Joe's shop ever feeling I'd been taken advantage of in the slightest. As a matter of fact, I think he could easily charge more and still be in line or below other shops. Honesty: it's almost impossible to even expect it anymore. But I wouldn't hesitate to send anyone I meet to see him for repairs, knowing that they will be treated more than fair, if not, be getting a deal on any work needed. They chase problems to find the cause, they don't just start fixing symptomatic stuff out of the gate. No part swapping to date. If you have a diesel truck, or even a gas burner truck, you are missing out on keeping it running fantastic for a great price.
