"I never write bad reviews, I try to resolve them with the company privately. I always leave good reviews when I feel I have received great service. I feel like some of the problems started with poor communication and now have escalated to the point of the worst customer service I have ever encountered. We were assigned this company by our home warranty company when our air conditioner stopped cooling. They came out looked at the outside unit and said it needs to be replaced. He said the warranty company supplies cheap units and offered to quote us for an entire system of a better quality unit and we could get the payout from the warranty and pay the difference. Never once during this visit did they go in the attic to inspect the rest of the unit, only submitted the outside unit to be replaced. The next day we had a leak in the ceiling under the unit, so I ordered another service call to check the unit in the attic. They said it was a roof leak, then said it was the drain pan. After a couple of weeks the first round of repairs were completed. We still have $800 worth of ceiling repairs to complete, but that is what it is. A week later the air conditioner isn't cooling again so we request a third service call and after a couple of days they come and say the attic unit is completely rusted and needs to be replaced. We ask if when this work is done would they be able to remove the trash that was left when they fixed the drain pan. He said yes that guy gets on my nerves, he does that all the time. We wait forever for our warranty company to approve the new work and when they do they call me and say they will cover everything except the modification/upgrade fees. We call to see what the modification/upgrade is before we agree to the extra $300 charge and the dispatcher is extremely rude and says we are never happy and just trying to get out of paying. We just wanted to know what we were paying for. He said he is canceling the request and never coming back, then tells the warranty company we canceled. When they called to see what was going on he then said we yelled and cursed them, which is absolutely not true! We are unhappy because we have not had air in the hottest part of summer for almost 2 months, and we aren't sure why the upstairs unit was not properly tested/inspected in the first 2 visits. That would have still been fine if they could have just explained what the upgrade was."
"Did not pick them was assigned through a home warranty company. Started out very helpful, until you don't want to pay for the extra upgraded unit through them. Did not fully diagnose the issue the first time. Had to come back 3 times, and where very rude after we did not buy the upgraded unit. Left trash in the attic, then blamed us for the trash. Would rate less then a 1 star if possible. Ended up going with a different company after they lied to the home warranty company on why they did not fix the issue. Very poor follow-up and communication, would never recommend this company to anyone. FYI never cursed or belittled anyone, my wife was there listening to every conversation. Your tech even said when I mentioned the trash "yeah that guy gets on my nerves, does that stuff all the time". When I talked to your dispatch he was rude and disrespectful from the start and said we were never happy. Would you be happy without Air for 2 months, probably not when this could of been avoided with proper troubleshooting the first time instead of 3 visits, and you never completed all the work we were told would be done. Poor way to run a business, as I see from prior poor reviews, with the same experience as us."
"TL;DR Our neighbors daughter has had her a/c out and needed it replaced for almost 3 weeks. Burke's diagnosed and replaced ours in 3 business days. Excellent and professional service. Our air went out and they got over ASAP and fixed it when others had suggested we would just have to replace the whole unit. It was the second time they've had to fix it, and it's definitely on it's last leg. So the A/C went out the next week and Burke got us a 36-month no interest payment plan (through Wells Fargo) to get it replaced since this was the third time it's been worked on in two years (new failures each time) and a 30 yr old unit (end-of-life). Update: We had an issue with the unit we bought. Burke worked to get it checked out ASAP so we wouldn't be left without A/C in the middle of the heatwave for long. Again the timing should work out to about 3 business days. I've heard time and again that other people are cheaper, but the response time and quality of work they show is well worth it."
