"Went in Monday to City Thrift, and my granddaughter and I looked through out the store. I asked an employee if they had a dressing room, and she stated no that they had a 14-day return policy. So we were ok with the 14-day return policy because my granddaughter wanted to try some jeans on. Today (Friday), 5 days later, my granddaughter tried to return the jeans and was told it was an exchange policy and not a return policy. The cashier responded a little rudely. The store or employees should not mislead the customers on the return policy. My granddaughter would not have bought the jeans if the employee had been honest."
"this place is a little gem. I always get complimented on my thrifted clothes that I get from here. they may not have the most friendly employees and if something still has the brand-new price tag on it it is jacked the hell up but I still really like this place. they have everything I need and it's right here in Clarksville. I sure as hell ain't doing Nashville traffic for some new jeans so yeah, come to city thrift man."
"Employees are rude,i found a pair of pants i liked, i walked around the store to do a little more shopping and the price tag pulled off somewhere in the store, they would not sell me the pants, i came back in the store a minute later to walk around and see if i could find it and overheard them talking about me saying i was trying to steel them, how am i going to try to steel them if i brought them up to the counter to pay for them? I'm a us army veteran and i drive a semi truck for a living now i assure you i don't need to steel"
"If you’re looking for an actual thrift/bargain store, SKIP this one. This place has lost its mind! I am an avid thrifter/reseller & would go in here about once a week. I don’t even bother anymore because they jack the prices up so much. It seems like they are greedy or trying to keep resellers away. It worked for me. I don’t think I’ll ever go back here because it just irritates me too much. $30 for beat up Nike sneakers, $16.99 for a Kim Roger’s dress, $27.99 for Zara jeans, $39.99 for a Tommy Hilfiger puffer jacket. Not even worth it on 50% off sale days. No wonder the racks are jam packed. I don’t know how they stay in business. The owner/managers need a reality check. My real question, who are the people paying these prices when you could go to a retail shop and pay around the same price? I will stick with Goodwill, even though they can get a little pricey on occasion."
"They have lost their ever loving minds on the pricing. $17.99 for a 10 year old worn & pilled dress. Or $12.99 for a damaged dress with the strap hanging on by a safety pin. And knowingly selling counterfeit designer purses for $500. I told them it was fake and asked if they provided an authentication certificate and she laughed and said no. I said I feel bad for the person that buys it. Just downright greedy. And when it’s brought to their attention they say “we have sales days” or “we pay for our inventory” Excuses. They have plenty of merchandise to sell. What’s sad is you can’t even browse the racks because they’re so jammed packed because no one pays these exorbitant prices for secondhand goods when you can go to Walmart or TJ Maxx and buy it brand new. City Thrift if you’re reading this- you need to rethink your entire strategy."
