"The service I received from the hispanic girl with glasses deserves a 1 star. Her customer service skills were terrible. I waited almost 30 minutes for her attitude. Unexceptable!"
"As usual, I am notified my child’s Rx is ready, only to be told at pickup, there are no refills — and when I protest, I am told “ oh, wait, there is a refill, but it’s in your profile. That will be a 30 minute wait if you wait here, but 1.5 hours if you pick up.” I was told two days ago, the Rx would be ready. I typically don’t sweat things like this, as heaven knows we all make mistakes, and we need to have grace with one another. However, there is something systemically wrong with this Walgreen’s. I am rarely able to pick up without a problem, and the pharmacists really don’t care about customer experience. That’s fine and dandy, but…..but….but….you’d think with Amazon and CVS rolling out Rx savings programs, Walgreens would at least try to do better. I cannot wait for CVS to implement its new pricing system, and I have a feeling thousands of Walgreen’s customers in this neighborhood (77056, 77057, 77024) are just waiting for the same. I plan to transfer every last Rx on file, and angels will descend from the heavens when I no longer have to walk into this place and leave without much-needed meds because their system is critically flawed."
"Extremely disappointed with the pharmacy technician onsite today. I have been coming to this Walgreens for a year to do my shopping and refill my monthly prescriptions. I’ve been waiting 3 days for my dr to send my prescription in, and I finally received the app alert that the pharmacy was filling it. I checked back in 2 hours later and noticed the prescription was gone. When I called, one of the employees said the pharmacist placed it on a hold and I would have to speak to her. When I spoke to her, she talked in circles not making any sense, and when I asked for clarification of why she put my prescription on hold, she stated that I live too far away from this pharmacy and it cannot be refilled here and why would I come here. When I stated that my records show that I refill here every month unless they are out of stock (which there’s a shortage on my medications and a few times I couldn’t refill here and had to find another Walgreens), but that I live a few minutes away from this location so this makes sense for me. She stated that she’s only helping at this pharmacy for 2 days and she’s unfamiliar with the area but she doesn’t understand why my address on file doesn’t match the Walgreens area and why I would refill here. My dr sent my prescription to this location since it’s in stock, as she does every month. Due to my prescription having a shortage, even if I didn’t live near, I am able to refill my medication at any pharmacy as long as my dr transfers it. When I argued with the pharmacist, and demanded I get it refilled since I NEED the prescription to function, she stated she would fill it. When I arrived, I made it clear that she shouldn’t cancel someone’s prescription because she’s “unfamiliar with the area” and that she was in the wrong. She rolled her eyes, had an attitude and walked away. This technician makes terrible judgement calls, has poor customer services skills, and shouldn’t be representing Walgreens."
"I’ve tried 3 times to have my prescription filled. Each time I’ve waited on hold anywhere from 20-30 minutes. The third time the pharmacy technician was very rude and hung up without even saying good bye. Each time I’m told the Dr did not submit a refill. I have spoken to the Dr. Personally as well as her nurse and they assure me that they did in fact approve the refill. Now I will have to drive up there and, no doubt, waste more time trying to get someone competent at this location to give me my refill. I will definitely be changing pharmacies."
"Went in for a flu shot. The customer service is very poor. I do my part showing up 15 min. early. There was a line, so I stepped to the side where it says "drop off/pick up" to quickly get the forms to fill out for the vaccination. This is something that could be easily available as a hard copy in the waiting area. I was told "there's only one line," with a dismissive air. I said, "well if I had the forms I could do them while I wait in line." It was obvious this wasn't an option. So, I wait in the line as directed, while another customer in front of me tells me that they were told them the same thing. They were there for a quick pick up, and also thought she could go to the other line. Good communication could go a long way here, but it was obvious that there were other customers in the line who felt frustrated-like things were not being run efficiently (or maybe understaffed). When I got to the front of the line, I checked in, and then was asked to have a seat. I finally get the forms 20 min. later with a vague "sorry." Then, it takes over another 10 min. to be seen. My appointment time was 11am and wasn't seen until past 11:15, the following appointment time. Why tell people to show up early and then make people wait unnecessarily and run late? This says to me, "I don't value your time, or you, as our customer." While no one was outwardly rude, I feel I was made to wait for no reason, as there was no communication/explanation (like "I'm very sorry, but we are a bit behind today, but I'll be there ASAP" or similar). If employees treat the customers dismissively, like they aren't valued, we will go elsewhere. You will lose them, and in turn the business loses money. I am happy to go elsewhere when I need pharmacy services in the future for that reason."
