"Plenty of room bring ur chairs....or not ..plenty of free parking are the vecinity."
"My feelings about this place are a mix of emotions. Our family has been fond of RRPL and consistently made a stop at Main Street Plaza after visiting the library for many years. However, a recent experience has left us feeling uneasy. During our last visit, my child chipped their tooth at the splash pad, particularly in the slippery ring area. This slipperiness was surprising, especially since there were no warning signs, and my nearly 8-year-old daughter wasn't running or playing roughly at the time. Conversations with other parents at the park revealed they shared similar concerns about the slick surfaces. My child has never wanted to visit the plaza ever since the incident. It's worth mentioning that we've visited various splash pads across the Austin metropolitan area, including Brushy Creek Park, downtown Austin, and Lakewood, without encountering such issues. Following the incident, I promptly reached out to park management, as they instructed me to complete a claim form. However, despite submitting the form nearly 1.5 months ago, we haven't received any communication or response from them regarding our concerns."
"What a beautiful place! My daughter loves to play there in summer and see the Christmas decorations in Winter"
"Parking isn’t easy to find except when you get lucky and find one right up front in one of the 4 spaces available. But parking around the corner and walking is worth it. Splash pad and surrounding area is shaded with tables and chairs. The water sprayers adjust pressure every few seconds and makes for a fun but predictable splash pad experience. My kids love it and this is my favorite splash pad to get wet with them in. I love to chase them around and through the water columns in the middle."
"This is a peaceful plaza (when children aren't shrieking) with a fountain (who are we kidding, it's a splash pad) and Music on Main (Wednesdays, 6-8:30, March-May). Simple, but excellent local fun for the family."
