"Very small aquarium. The dolphin show was fun. Went with a school group as a chaperone and felt that the staff was okay but not very tolerant of excited 10 year olds. Didn't engage with the kids as much as tell them what they couldn't do. There are ways to make it fun and have them listen and only a few really made the effort."
"We got to the aquarium early enough to beat the crowds. The dolphin show was awesome, as always! The Shoreline Grill is where we had lunch. The grill had good portion sizes and tasted good. The prices are a little higher than a fast food place. The bathrooms were reasonably clean and were fully stocked with paper towels! The girls spent time touching the stingrays in the outside tank. We then went thru the Gulf of Mexico side of the aquarium, then the Caribbean side where touching the small sharks was a big hit! The gift shop has the usual souvenir items, but the prices ranged from reasonable to outrageous."
"Aquarium is okay. Coming from Denver, I figured it would be bigger. Only thing that stuck out to me were the dolphins. The facility itself is clean and separated into different areas of the world. Prices are a bit steep for what it is. We had no idea about needing a token to get out of the parking lot and no one when we checked in mentioned it either or asked. Thank God we had our truck so we could just go up and over the grassy curb to get out and we weren't the only ones who had to. More information would've been nice. Didn't get to check out the rehabilitation center next door but that's okay. Sorry to say but I prefer our Denver Aquarium to this. More to see, more to interact with and it is lots cheaper. Glad the TX State Aquarium does so much for the animals though at least."
"Was a very cool experience. They have really changed alot since the last time I was there. They have a ton of educational exhibits. You can also visit the rescue center which is really something else to be able to see. I would recommend buy tickets online to avoid a wait. Also make sure you get a parking token so you can get out of the parking lot when you leave."
"Such a beautiful place! The price is a little high compared to other aquariums I’ve been to, but I appreciate everything they’re doing to help the planet. I highly recommend a visit. Very educational and interesting, with so much to see."
