"The San Gabriel is nice. The park recently had a makeover. If you want to go fishing this is not the place as I have taken my kids there and no bites and did not see a single fish. If you are just looking to relax it is a great place as there are dozens of trees that are some of the largest in the area and the park a whole is basically brand new. ENJOY!!!"
"Enjoy scenic and beautiful GeorgetownTX. We are proud of our parks. Excellent hike and bike trails, great facilities and terrific events for young and old. My kids played baseball, basketball and soccer at the Rec center. Big fun for the whole family."
"This is one of the great gems of Georgetown. The Parks and Rec staff do a lot of work to keep this park clean and family friendly. From feeding ducks, playing on one of the play grounds, to taking a run or having a family picket, it's a great place to spend with family and friends."
"San Gabriel Bark Park San Gabriel Park is one of the many crown jewels of Georgetown, Texas. It has a host of fun activities such as swimming, tennis courts, hiking trails as well as much more, but our favorite is the Bark Park where we bring our three dogs every day to run around in one of the best off the leash parks in America. Visitors are always welcomed, and your dogs will love you for it."
"Went here this last weekend, 03/26/16, and it was gorgeous! Not too many people (most likely cause of Easter). We went to the Blue Hole area, which is an informal name for the swimming/wading area on the south end of the river next to the park. Best parking to get to the Blue Hole area is at 2nd and Rock St, right next to El Monumento restaurant; you should be able to park to the side of the restaurant next to the main parking lot without too much trouble, it's what we did. No cost to enter the park; water was a little cold, but it was high 70s, low 80s out, so that's to be expected. The cliffs on the other side of the river are great for jumping off of to! Loved this place and would definitely come here again."
