"Great place for soccer practice, there's a cute firetruck playground open to the public."
"My 2 year old loved it. The only thing I wish was there was a lot muddy areas around the big playground."
"This is a nice small park. You can park at the school (assuming it's not full for some school activities). There's a small gazebo (bench seating around the edges of it), two sets of playground equipment (one for bugs and one for littles) plus about 5 swings. Small track around the edges if you want to walk while the kids play. It is next to a busy road (silver), but there's really only one exit and the rest is fenced in. The fire truck looks cool. They also have a water fountain. It was cold and at least looked clean when we were there. They also have several benches in the middle of the playground for adults or kids to sit. Park is partially shaded."
"I've driven by this park many times and wanted to take our kids there ever since our family has been living here in Houston temporarily. The park is partially fenced in with an entrance/exit at the corner of Silber rd and another one on the side at the parking lot of Housman middle school. I arrived at 2pm with my 2 children under 2 years old (2/2/2 lol) and cars started to line up, blocking me in to pick up their kids from school as this is also the visitor parking for the park which was ok because I was planning to be there a while anyway and I like that there's people and kid's around too. I also thought this was a good time to be there because the crossing guard is at the exit near the street which makes it less likely that my kids will run out of the park if they happened to get away from me. They have a playground for toddlers and one for older kids, both with many slides. They also have a swing set, monkey bars and rock climbing wall. My kids liked sitting at the kiddie picnic table in the play house, playing on the bridges and the fire trucks play gears. I liked that there are wood chips instead of grass and mud, it's very clean with a trash can, there are benches and many trees and a large gazebo for shade. The things I didn't love is that there's no restrooms so I changed my kids diaper once in the stroller and once on the bench, as i mentioned the enterance/exit is dangerously close to the busy street and the sprinklers come on at that time real close to playground and my kids wanted to play in the water and because my vehicle was blocked in and it was very hot at that time, I decided to let them play in the sprinklers and get wet. Overall very fun day at this park, it was very hard to pull them from the sprinklers. I ended up taking off their soaked clothes, shoes and socks, changed their diaper and put them in the stroller and car seats like that and put their wet stuff in a few plastic bags that I carry for dirty diapers. We had a blast so we will definitely try to come back before we move."
