"Road not fully close limited access to road it was nice day come out"
"I had wanted to go last year and didn't think I would make it back through this year. I'm glad we went. Be careful on the back roads, the curves are hidden and we almost were hit once when someone took too wide of a turn. The last leg was a dirt road that they are working on, but we didn't have any problems driving on it. It was a great view and great opportunity to witness history."
"On the Mississippi, lots of views. My wife and I have been there twice. If you get the chance, take a look, and a few pictures. I'll definitely go again for the hiking trails. It's a neat rock with plenty of history. Louis and Clark have been to this rock, which makes it even better in my book."
"I went to visit this place on 22 Oct 2022 when the river level was very low. Had no problem walking all the way to the rock. If you are not comfortable walking down the hill by the sign, you should walk all the way down by the second big rock. Trail is much easier to walk down. On the back side of the rock is a rope so you can climb to the top. I saw many people on the top today."
"I had been to Tower Rock years ago and paddled over in a canoe from Illinois. I climbed the island and had a picnic on the summit. I visited today at very low water to experience walking to the island from the Missouri side. There is a significant whirlpool on the south side when the water flows on both sides. I was unaware of the Rock's history among river men. It is worth a visit."
