"This seems to have once been a popular spot for camping and water activities. Maintained by the National Park Service, this facility's buildings are closed and the area is somewhat run down. The park is open to visitors in a different way these days. We enjoyed the ample parking and all the nature along with the isolation. There was one other vehicle the entire time we were here. I do recommend stopping to stretch your legs and maybe have a snack while taking in the sights and sounds of this area. I'm sure you are not just "happening" to be out this far lol."
"Road is open but everything seems very run down and unkempt. We walked down to the river. Very low water level. Not a place to bring your motor boat, but definitely go for a walk and enjoy the beautiful country."
"Beautiful park with views of the Pecos River valley. Boat ramp extends all the way down to the river. We saw a bunch of goats on the other side of the river!"
"A sweet little gem which isn't visited as much as it used to be. This used to be the original water crossing until the bridge was built. So cool!"
"Place is decently maintained with a fair amount of amenities. There are trash cans restrooms and a station for cleaning fish at the top of the long road that ends at the boat ramp. The sceinic overlook located ~100 meters west of the boat launch road on 90 has fire pits for grilling."
