"Clean, easy to maneuver with a small camper. Lake is not easily accessible, but great views. A few sites with electrical/water hook up, mostly sites with just picnic tables and fire rings."
"Best State Park we have been to! The views from sunrise to sunset are just incredible! We had a campsite with electric and water. You’ll pass a Dumpstation on your way to your campsite. We had site 3 and couldn’t have been happier with it! There are restrooms and showers within walking distance. They are decent if your not that picky. They would be cleaner if people would clean up after themselves. There is a furnace running in the bathrooms so it’s never too cold. Perfect place to stay for a few days or a week !"
"Beautiful views!!! The sites were spaced out fairly well and the rates were very low. If you need electric, make sure you book ahead. There is one restroom on site with 4 bathrooms, each containing showers. 2 out of the 4 bathrooms don’t lock and they could all use some cleaning. The showers are push buttons and stay on for a short period so you have to keep pressing the buttons. There is no ability to control the temperature so I would shower early in the morning or evening as the water is very hot! State troopers, Park Rangers, and fire department patrol the park regularly which help keep a safe and quiet atmosphere. Dump station on the way out is easily accessible."
"Very nice campground no reservations needed. Was pretty loud at 7pm when we arrived a ton of boaters drinking having fun but it all settled down by 10 and we had a quiet night. Tornado style winds just about wiped us off the cliff but I can't blame the campsite. Awesome views. Shade shelters."
"There are 10 reservable campsites and 51 non reservable campsites in this campground perched on a bluff over Lake Meredith. The reservables have electricity and water and are nearer to the toilet/showers. The first-come sites have much more charm and are free! I’m thinking that anytime you camp here, tho, you have to reconcile yourself to wind and there’s no escape. Another quirk — most of the sites have giant fire rings."
