Situated in a beautiful and secluded area, Nine Point Draw (NP-1) offers primitive roadside sites with breathtaking views and a small flat gravel space for camping next to your vehicle. The site can accommodate 2 vehicles (including trailers) and 8 people, as well as 4 horses. Please note that there is no shade, toilets, or other amenities provided at NP-1. Additionally, the use of generators is prohibited in the backcountry. To secure your spot at Nine Point Draw, you can now obtain a backcountry permit up to 180 days in advance through www.recreation.gov. This park offers a secluded and serene camping experience with space for up to two vehicles and 10 people, but no horses are allowed. The campsite provides stunning views of the Chisos Mountains and nearby hills, making it a popular spot for nature enthusiasts. Visitors can set up camp next to their vehicle on a small flat gravel space, but should be aware that there is no shade, toilets, or other amenities available. The use of generators is prohibited in the backcountry, and a Backcountry Permit is required to use this campsite. Permits can be obtained up to 24 hours in advance at Panther Junction Visitor Center or Chisos Basin Visitor Center.
