"I hired them for a move out cleanout. Richard, who manages this branch, was kind and flexible as I had a last-minute delay in putting my condo on the market. Richard listened to what I wanted done and told me it'd probably take the team of 2 ladies 2 hours, which is the minimum amount of time. I told him I'd like the refrigerator clean-out for the extra $25. I also spoke with the booking service who told me this cleaning could take over 3 hours. I did some prep work as I had mentioned to Richard that I'd like to keep it closer to the 2 hour mark for budgetary reasons. The ladies arrived around 8:05 am for the cleaning and I showed them the condo. About 70-75 minutes later they were hauling their cleaning supplies out of the condo telling me they were done. I confirmed with them that the minimum was 2 hours, and one woman said yes. She told me I could check their work before they left. I looked around and found some missed spots in the bathroom. The cleaning solution they used (bleach) on the shower left white residue all over and I also asked that they clean that up. I also asked if they would clean the windows on the inside since I had them for 2 hours. They didn't seem to happy that I asked them to come back in and do more work, but at that point, I still had over 45 minutes with them on the clock. They willingly came back in to address what I asked of them, but there was no desire to do anything but what I asked and be done and get out. 15 minutes later, they were done again and went to the car. So, reluctantly, I let them go almost 25-30 minutes early. This would've been fine, I suppose, if the job had been done thoroughly, which is what I expected from such a reputable company. As I prepped for final touches for the condo to start being shown, I looked in the freezer and it the inside had not been cleaned out. I had paid $25 for the refrigerator cleaning - no clue that this didn't involve the freezer, too! Supposedly because I didn't specifically mention I wanted the freezer done (though I think I did), they didn't do it. (Richard explained that the freezer is hard to clean unless it was off and refunded the $25 fee, which was great customer service. I will say that it only took me 10 minutes and I was able to get it in great shape without defrosting it...just with vinegar, water, and a small vacuum.) There were still some food marks on the front/side of refrigerator after the cleaning near the handle and base of the door...they just did a quick wipe-down on the outside and hadn't really cleaned it thoroughly. I cleaned those marks off too with vinegar, water, and a little elbow grease. (See attached photos of how the refrigerator was after the team left.) I ended up having to scrub the grates on the range, too. The range was fairly new but had some food residue on it from use. That had not been taken off while the team was there. So I spent another 15 minutes or so with hot water, a dish brush, and Dawn detergent. Overall, the place looked good. Floors, stair treads, and bathroom looked great, and I appreciate that they are willing to use all the cleaning solutions that I cannot due to chemical sensitivities. I wish I'd have caught some of the details missed before the team left. I was just so shocked that they were pushing to get out the door while I still had time with them that I rushed through my review of the work. Thank you to Richard for the flexibility and the $25 refund due to miscommunication about the freezer after I emailed with all of the above concerns. He was quick to talk about that issue on the phone but did not seem to want to address any of my other feedback from the visit. Oh well, time to move forward. If you do go with Molly Maid for a move out cleaning, take the time to check that everything you wanted done was thoroughly addressed before the team leaves."
