"My pup loves daycare! It's comforting to know that the people that work there know his name and how he is so I know he is well taken care of and paid attention to when he is there. And they have cameras in the rooms so if you need to you can check up on your pup through the day (except naptime) They also have an outdoor area (not with cameras) so when they clean the rooms the dogs go there, I assume. If you are watching on the cameras, the rooms are cleaned periodically throughout the day. His very first day was free (which was great because I wanted to see if he even liked it, which it didn't seem like) BUT after a few more visits he came out of his shell, played, and his confidence overall became soooo much better! He now has been going several days a week for the past few months and even has his favorite workers there too!"
"Update: several months later I have researched more information and this update is more for recommendation to pet parents who are looking for boarding for their pets while away. This place is very stressful for a dog, because they stay in very small cages 23 hours of the day and have 1 hour play time, if they are neutered. The cage is so small that I read the daily log for my Pomeranian saying that they did not use the bed I provided because it would not fit in the cage. He also came home with a horrible bacterial diarrhea that the vet tested and said it is transmitted in shelters from pet to pet due to less hygiene. He was on antibiotics and some other medication for a week to get back to normal. Please note that this review is NOT for the pet caretakers at the place because they were amazing!! It simply is for the nature of this type of boarding that unnecessary stresses the dog and can bring him health issues too. I would recommend to a pet parent who wants to make sure their dog is safe for a longer trip to have a pet sitter or pet home boarding through the various apps like Rover, Wag and many others. That would be less stressful and safer for your pet. Again my pet care takers were amazing girls who took pictures for me and gave me updates daily for which I am very grateful! This might be a 1 day type of stay option if anything. Original review: Great day care. Very responsive. Stayed in contact with me the whole time and sent me pictures of my pup. Payed extra attention to him and fed him special food for his dietary needs and had to spoon feed as well. I appreciate all the extra care and love given to my pup so he doesn’t feel abandoned and alone and in anxiety. Sam is absolutely phenomenal with the care and love for pets. I really appreciate her! Also many thinks to Bri for all the care! I know he has quite unique needs so thank you both!"
"Paws In Paradise has been a huge help, we have a 4 year old aggressive pup who we've been working on training his reactivity and since our first correspondence they reassured us that he would be well taken care of. The first time we left him I was so nervous since he had never been away from our home since we adopted him but the staff was reassuring and communicative during our time away with updates when i was being a stressed out dog mom. We have used them now 3 times on stays that were anywhere from a weekend trip to 7 days and every time we pick him up the staff is super friendly and lets us know how he was during the stay. I have never had an issue with boarding him and will continue to come here for their fantastic service and care of our family member! Thank you Paws in Paradise for always taking care of him."
"I have borded my dogs here twice. Staff are all friendly. I didn’t get a chance to see the inside of the facility. I don’t even know if they would allowed me too.however I picked up my dog today after a 5 night stay. Two of his paws the skin is raw. He’s also about 10pounds less than when I dropped him off. I don’t know if concrete was to hot or the constant play was to much. He’s always super exhausted when Leaving here( makes me Concered)Make sure you check your dog throughly when picking up. Ask to see the facility."
"I will never board my dog here again. I couldn’t use my regular boarding place because I moved so I decided to try Paws in Paradise back in July 2021 based on the reviews. Everything seemed fine. They wouldn’t let me inside the building or walk my dog back to the room, which I found very strange as my other boarding places do. So it seemed as if they maybe had something to hide, but I let it go. A week later I picked up my dog and HE SMELLED HORRIBLE! Omg he smelled like a dirty kennel! Based on how he smelled I don’t think they keep the place clean and I question how well they take care of the animals. My dog did not seem okay - he was nervous and panting and wasn’t acting normal. He’s been boarded before and never acted like this when I picked him up. Also, he had a growth coming out of his head that he never had before. I swear it looked like a maggot!! I had to go to the vet to get it removed and he hasn’t had one since. I would stay away!! I will never come back. I go to Petsmart now and they are amazing. My dog doesn’t come back smelling bad and he acts normal and happy when I pick him up from Petsmart."
