"I have been going to this doctor for over thirty five years. I have never been so rudly talked to like I was by his front desk worker. She is so rude, It took all of my being to keep from saying something to her about it. While I was there, she was rude to the person in front of me, to the person who called on the phone which she was beating on the desk with her hands in exasperation at them. And then to me when I was told that my my Baylor Scott and white insurance wasn't covered even though they said it was when I set up the appointment. Plus on the website it shows that he takes that insurance. YOU DO NOT HAVE THE RIGHT TO TALK TO PEOPLE LIKE THAT!!!!!!!! YOU NEED TO BE FIRED. If you are not fired Pickens will lose more patients like they lost my whole family today."
"You can Not ask for a More passionate caring down to earth loving person as Doctor Pickens is. Been with him over 18 years . He's the best I've came across, caring for myself and Family."
"My husband has been using dr Pickens since the age of 7 he is now 46 we live in Dallas and will still dr to waxahachie to go to the dr it’s hard enough getting a day off work for the both of us and then driving 40 miles to the appt I was considerably hurt and offended by the way we were treated today from the front desk girl. We did not have face masks and were told to leave and the shell station Down the street sells them. We went next door to the doctors office where we were not a patient and got two masks no problem. When we reentered the office she took the chair I was about to sit in and turned it around right in front of me the only thing she said to us the whole time we were there up to that point was what’s your name rudely. Then when it was time to go back my husband asked me to come with him and she had a problem with that. I thought in the nice town I would have be had friendlyer care after 40 years"
"So I called today as I am severely sick and need to see a doctor… The last two days I have ran a fever and had a sinus infection that has kept me in bed. Desperately needing to see a doctor I called and ask if there’s anyway they can squeeze me in the lady tells me that they are not taking new patients until September????? Are you serious right now so people that need to see a doctor and people need help because they are new patients you can’t see them???? If I was Dr. Pickens I would be ashamed of myself. Your new patients can be lifelong relationships and lifelong income shame on you for not helping people that need to see you…."
"Dr. Pickens is a warm, caring doctor who is personable and listens well. I am so glad we found him. His office is not high-tech but that's okay with me because I do not like the direction health care is headed in this country anyway. He reminds me of the way doctors used to be - caring and concerned about their patients."
