"I took the 48hr course in order to re certify my paramedic license this year (2024). Pros: Online access to your own self paced learning. You have to listen to the video the entire way through, but other than that you can watch them whenever you like. Cons (personal preference on both of the following): The spelling and grammar errors in these post module quizzes are plentiful, to put it lightly. Skull spelled “scull”, paradigm spelled “paradym”, phenomenon spelled “phenonimon.” Half of the sentences I can’t figure out what is being asked due to the phrasing of it. I am no grammar expert, but if you are going to put out courses like this as a business, someone should be checking spelling and grammar and it should look clean and professional. Not asking for perfection, just..spell check. Especially in a field like EMS, where your reports could be brought up in court, I believe EMS instructors should stress the importance of good spelling, punctuation, and grammar, and they should be good examples of that as well. Other con is I don’t care to hear about my instructor’s religious or political beliefs. Being human is good. Relating to other people is good. However, the place to voice your beliefs (even in a non-pushy way as Jon does it) is not this learning environment. These interjections throughout videos made it difficult to focus. I’m grateful for the time Jon dedicates to this business. Unfortunately, this teaching style is absolutely not for me and may not be ideal for people looking for a more professional approach."
"I have taken Jon's 48 hour refresher course several times. Jon is efficient and informative. I really enjoy the class and learn something new every time."
"AMAZING! I wish I could have Jon teach me every subject throughout my career. Smooth class, easy to understand and digest, with a hint of comedy. Thank you again, Jon. See you in 2 years when I need to re-certify again!"
"I recent bought the 16 hour paramedic refresher/CE to prepare my self for my 3rd attempt to get my NREMT Paramedic. Nothing had worked for me my previous 2 attempts. This 16 hour course is what I feel is the reason I finally passed my 3rd try. It’s clear and you can tell he cares what he’s teaching. Recommended for everyone."
""Become the field practitioner you are destined to be." Jon is an absolute wealth of knowledge. I had the pleasure of attending one of his live classes. He provides so much detailed information, but breaks it down and explains things in a way that is easy to understand. Jon truly has a passion for teaching others. He's very down to earth and will gladly spend extra time with those in his class that may be having a harder time. Jon is experienced, knowledgeable, and a dedicated teacher. He is a true asset to the EMS world."
