"Update: Two months later and I have a leak in a pipe. I call to see about fixing it and what do they say? I left a bad review, so nope. I have used Ron's several times for small items. They were fine. More recently I used them for a complete bathroom gut because I was in a bind. It was a professionally designed space with blueprints and expensive, exposed fixtures (a $70k bathroom). I generally use very good subs for this type of work. All fixtures and drawings were supplied at the rough-in time. There were quite few hiccups that I don't think would have occurred with more knowledgeable plumbing companies. The plumbing price on my job was about $6k. At one point the plumber asked me if I knew how to install the freestanding tub. Like, what? You're the plumber. They also kept calling my polished nickel fixtures "chrome" even after I told them many times, it's nickel. "They look like chrome". If they've never seen polished nickel fixtures, they haven't seen many bathrooms. They also told me they wanted to cut through a tile floor, cement board, leveling compound, and the original wood subfloor to put in the tub drain AFTER it was laid, like later. My floor installer insisted on pulling the drain pipe up and tiling around it. Several times the plumbers would say "you need this extension piece for that part, we'll have to come back" so I order this part, and when they come back "you also need this piece". There are issues covering the sink drain stub out with the escutcheon supplied. The plumbers tell me now they would have had to know when roughing it in that it was a shallow escutcheon. I had all these parts for years and they are spec'd on drawings. They tell me "we don't know how to read drawings, we're plumbers". The plumbers come to finish the sink drain - this is 6 months in- and tell me the stub out isn't in line with the sink and the trap I have needs it to be in line. YOU SAW THE DRAWINGS, YOU SET THE PIPES, YOU SAW THE FIXTURES, YOU KNEW THEY WERE EXPOSED. I have $400 traps here and they absolutely need to be used. Lastly, they do not know how to install a freestanding tub. They told me grout/caulk around the bottom of a tub! Because, I realize, they did not put the flange in the hole in the floor so that if any water gets under the tub, it goes down this hole around the drain pipe and into the ceiling below it! When I asked about it - a part I had previously asked if I needed - it was excuse after excuse. What the actual F. I could go on...In the end, I had to purchase more parts to rectify their inappropriate or wrong choices, and use design items I did not want. I also had to have another plumber come fix the tub drain. I would recommend them for basic fixes or builder grade stuff, I guess, maybe. I would not recommend them for more elaborate, detailed, or expensive work. My carpenter and tile guy also commented on how they seemed inept. All plumbers are not equal."
"Ron's Plumbing has provided multiple services for me over the past year, with a total cost of $6,000. While I was impressed with their hospitality and work quality, I think it is equally—if not more—important to judge a person or business based on how they respond when things go wrong. I recently encountered an issue where one of Ron’s staff members broke my cabinet shelf while installing my new kitchen sink. If the staff member had told me he broke the shelf and apologized for it at the time it happened, it likely would not have bothered me; people make mistakes. However, they did not inform me of the damage and instead left me to find it myself. The way Ron’s Plumbing has dealt with the issue has been downright insulting. Over a 16-day period, I called Ron four times, left two voice messages, spoke with his receptionist twice, sent an email, and sent three text messages. After all of this, Ron finally acknowledged that the plumber broke the shelf, informed me that they are not responsible, and told me they will not do anything to repair it. After paying Ron $6,000, I expected more."
"Called first thing on a Saturday morning. Ron and his team were at my house within the hour. They were friendly and helpful and able to get a very difficult job done in short order. They cleaned up completely after the job and the price was extremely fair. Will definitely use their services in the future."
"Great plumbing outfit, the wonderful office person was nice and very helpful. The plumber who came out was knowledgeable, friendly and let me ask all my stupid question. Great work, love my new faucet thank you"
"I contacted Ron's Plumbing because they came highly recommended by neighbors... I wasn't let down! Chris and his apprentice/helper arrived on time and instantly got to work on my broken shower/tub faucet. They made quick work of the job, explained the work that was completed, and walked me through how to operate the new fixtures. Thanks for the great work!"
