"Ryan Goulding and his staff have caused me incredible frustration with my personal taxes. I made sure to turn in all my paperwork and materials as fast as possible, and now at the start of July my taxes are still not done. Let me explain. Last tax season I hired Ryan’s team as I was looking for (not super complicated personal tax) work. I was a little late uploading all my documents but Ryan’s team was able to get my taxes filed the day before they were due. I thought this was because I was late with my paperwork. So this tax year, I made sure I was on time with months to spare for Ryan’s team to finish my taxes. I emailed them and said my paperwork was ready and I got a courtesy email saying they would get started. Months go by without and update. Now the day before they are due I’m frantically asking for an update to see if they are done, as my taxes are not complicated and shouldn’t take months to complete. I kid you not, I get a phone call on the very last day in the middle of the work day where I’m canceling meeting’s because my CPA hasn’t done their job and he’s walking me through how to pay and file for an extension. This is unacceptable. I pay for their services to get my taxes filed for me, so I don’t have to worry about it, and so I can have them filed on time. Now it’s July, and I can bet my life that I will get an update the 11th hour before my extension is up that my taxes are ready. I’m sorry, no, Ryan Goulding CPA Chicago, IL, you’re fired. New clients, be warned from my frustration. Go somewhere else."
