"If Negative Stars were possible. I worked a contract for this company a while back, aside from the recruiter who appeared decent and kind, their HR staff and other 'higher ups' were unsupportive, and worse, someone from Brilliant maliciously falsified information (as in lied) to unemployment insurance regarding the reason why I was no longer employed through them. Two weeks into the contract with their small business client, who displayed disparate treatment towards me, abruptly ended the contract for no apparent reason. The client pulled me into the office one day and tried to convince me to quit, tried to coerce me into saying that the job was not for me. I did not agree, and stated quite the opposite, I'm more than capable to handle the work, which is why you hired me. So, the client followed through on their plan, which was to end my contract. The real reason for ending the contract was because I would not dummy-down nor bow down to another colleague/consultant who was hired same time as myself). I immediately contacted my Brilliant recruiter and provided the update. Moving forward, when I applied for unemployment insurance, I was informed that someone from Brilliant (whomever has the job of communicating with unemployment insurance) had stated that I did not follow the correct Brilliant protocol as in, I did report/and maintain contact with Brilliant following the contract end - which was 100% untrue, and I provided all email communications to unemployment insurance disproving the point. As a matter of fact, no one from Brilliant ever stated that requirement to me. It's unfortunate that some persons misused/abused their authority and lied just to, I assume, save Brilliant some $$$, and worse, they were/are protected within the company and get away with such unethical behaviors. Does it come from the Top down? No one from Brilliant ever owned up to what they did or apologized. B-t-w, I did contact several Brilliant resources to discuss the matter. The good news is, I know who controls my destiny, and we will all reap whatever we've sown."
