"Just visited Joann fabrics in Nile’s and the customer service was absolutely terrible. I needed help measuring fabric for my rocking chair as I asked the employe if she could help me measure it to see the amount of fabric I needed. She told me “I can give you a measuring tape and you could do it yourself” then as I proceeded to ask questions because I don’t know what to do with this she’s the “professional” she seemed very annoyed by simple questions, also I asked if they had any more of the fabric I needed “in back” and she looked at me and repeated “in back? We don’t have a back.” In the most completely rude way, this was my second time going there because I just went earlier in the week and had another experience with a rude employee who just seemed like they were so miserable and wanted no part in helping people and doing their job. Disgusting"
"Very big store for fabrics and accessory, prices are reasonable and good quality products"
"I had a horrible experience with the black lady at the cutting table. She took my fabric and began judging the fabric I picked (a more gothic-lace) rather than a standard lace. She kept explaining to me how I’ll have to manipulate the patterned fabric to be upright even though I knew that before picking it out. She asked me if I was sure about my choice and I kept saying “yes” but she kept asking the same question over and over. This lady kept repeating things to me and explaining how fabric works even though I already know these basic things (She went on with this for 30-40 minutes). It’s as if she desperately didn’t want me buying anything because I’m young and that may give off that I’m inexperienced. I felt like I was being belittled and judged. I ended up leaving that store empty handed because she wouldn’t cut my fabric !!"
"I came here with a friend after a trip to another craft store yielded nothing. Both of us were looking for things to bring our ren faire costumes to life. As I'd only heard of "Jo-Ann Fabrics" I did not expect them to have much beyond fabric, but I was wrong! Not only did they have the fabric my friend and I were looking for, they had a plethora of other enticing crafty things that were perfect for my Faerie Prince costume. (not everything pictured came from Jo-Ann's, nor is it sewn). The only reason I found these wonderful things was because three wonderful workers helped me! I want to give a shout out to Claire, Lixen, and a third lovely person whose name I did not catch. All of them went above and beyond to help me find the obscure things I sought. They were extremely kind, helpful, and definitely brightened what had been a dreary day with laughter and hope. Thank you! I definitely recommend this store- and location- for your fabric and craft needs, as well as a lovely experience!"
"I came to the beginner sewing class not even knowing exactly how to get my sewing machine going, and a little afraid to touch it. Look what I made in just one morning! Kiran was a very patient teacher and good explainer. I was lucky to get her full attention because I happened to be the only one in the class. All the other employees I've talked to there over several visits have also been really friendly and helpful, and I can never get over the variety of fabrics and other crafty and useful items they have."
