Sears Appliance Repair

"Got sent through warranty company to repair ice maker. Told me I was out of luck without even looking at the ice maker!! I opened the ice maker and showed him the problem. He then said the part was unavailable to repair so someone would contact me within 48 hours as to what would happen. After a week I contacted the warranty company to find out that the technician had closed the case and reported repaired after he had done nothing!! Got sent a different technician and could not have been a more different experience than the first technician. The second one troubleshot the problem, didn’t know the answer and called colleagues to ask for advice. He made some recommendations but was upfront that he wasn’t sure if it would fix the problem or not and welcomed calling them back if it was not fixed."

"Sears home appliances has been out to my mother in laws house at least 5 times thru choice home warranty. Her dishwasher is still not fixed !! She has paid $60 ( they tried to get her to pay more) but her deductible is 60. Choice Home Warranty will still not replace the dishwasher and sears does not know how to fix it. This is an elderly couple and has caused her a lot of stress. Would not recommend with company."

"It is difficult to get to talk to someone. All automated calls. First app, they came out a couple of days later to diagnose my dryer problem. They ordered the part Friday and got the part Saturday. The appointment was for that Wednesday. They canceled the app due to not confirming that we had the part. Well, they ordered the part, not us, so they should have known the part was delivered. Set up the app again for Thursday. The guy was overbooked, so they canceled that app as well. Had to wait until next Thursday for them to come out. My husband lost 3 days of work due to their side of canceling the appointments 2 times. It took a couple of weeks to get this fixed. They finally showed up to fix the part. I will never use them again for the issues that occur. The technicians that came to our house were ok. Un happy customer!!!"

"Technician was friendly and seemed knowledgeable but couldn’t clearly diagnose our issue. I paid for the home warranty in order to save $150 off a $600 part. A week later, part was installed and I was assured that my washer was fixed. Very first load proved that it was NOT fixed. I called Sears and was told they’d have another technician out that same day. Three days later and I have yet to hear from anyone. Not impressed and regretting all the time and money wasted."

"Matthew, the technician came back a second time to fix our microwave. He said it was the door relay the first time they fixed a fuse and it didn’t fix the problem. When he called me the second time he burped on the phone three times. It was disgusting. Then when he came over for 10 minutes, he looked at it and said that we broke it and left and never heard back from them. He also forged my name initial on the paperwork. I never sign anything! trash company will never use again! Be aware"
