"I haven't swum at this place in many years but it's been around for over 40 years, that I am sure. I really love the pool and it could be fun looking underwater especially at the deep end. They even had an observation window on the side of the pool and I remember we had to walk down the stairs to the basement to be able to see through the window to look at people swimming underwater (some even swum down to the window to wave at us). I remember it was 13 feet at the deep end and I think I recall that it once had a concrete platform high dive structure in the middle, and it was higher than the regular high diving boards. It was a lot of fun diving off those boards back in those days, but I don't think this "getting old" body could do it very well anymore. There is also an outdoor public pool down the road on Hammerly (to the west towards Beltway 8 West Loop) and it once had a 2-platform high dive structure there but they tore it down years ago."

"How many districts would love to have this for their highschools. The Duncan YMCA and Spring Branch swimming summer league swim here sometimes. It has the Diving and Swimming side where water polo is also practiced and games played."

"A fantastic facility for Swim and Dive meets! I received my Red Cross Lifeguard Certification there for Sweetwater Pools. Plenty of space, clean and temperature controlled water."
