"I just came to this Pool and according to their hours online it’s open until 7pm. I arrived around 5:51pm, just to take the kids for a few but it was closed. That was a bummer. I wish they would update the time on google and I wouldn’t have drove 15 mins. Edit to add: Ever since my review, they changed the hours of closing from 7 pm down to 5 pm. That is good to know, that way many of us don’t waste our time traveling to this place if the closed way before the time. Please if they close before 5 pm, give your opinion."
"The pool is closed today 08/06/2023. The sign clearly says last day is 08/13/2023. No sign on gate stating closure. A PSA would be greatly appreciated so people don't drive over there over there to find out it's closed. Update website, It says pool is open today until 5pm. Thank you."
"Wow! This pool was great! My first time here was absolutely awesome. It's a free pool with free parking. Hours are from 10-5pm over summer. We came on a Thursday. The life guards are attentive and very good at keeping the kids safe. There is a 15 minute break on the hour every hour for the life guards. Everyone is out of the pool. There are bathrooms, water fountains, but not a whole lot of sitting area. There are two 8 person picnic tables and 4 beach chairs. I recommend bringing your own chairs to sit. No outside food is allowed in but you can keep it in your car in a cooler. They have a rope in the pool separating the deep end from the shallow end. You may jump in the pool but no diving. There is a sign on sheet just so they know who is all here. They just need the name and age of everyone who is here. During our first break at 2pm, the staff gave away free lunch for everyone. I HAVE NEVER HAD THAT HAPPEN. Either we came on a good day or they we being awfully nice today. Highly recommend this public pool. It's clean, there are shady areas and it's family friendly."
"I've never been to a public pool so maybe this is normal but expect that every 45 minutes you will have to take a forced 15 minute break in which they watch to make sure nothing/noone gets back into the pool until the break is up. This is unusually cruel when it's 100+° outside and they have very little coverings to stay cool under. You should probably bring your own chairs since the few available are generally taken. There is somewhere to rinse off the pool water, so that's nice. The water from the fountain is really cold and the restrooms weren't bad. Lots of young lifeguards that are like to blow their whistles. Hate the forced breaks every hour, it ruined it for me and we ended up leaving after 2 breaks."
"We've been to 4 of the San Antonio pools and this is our favorite. It's large, clean and most of the other patrons are friendly. We've been to some where we are clearly not welcome. As with all SA pools, it's also free. We wish it was deeper, had a diving board, and maybe a slide, but this works perfectly to let the kids burn off a couple hours worth of energy. It's also surrounded by a beautiful park with ball fields, basketball courts, jogging trail, play ground, and skate park. This is tax money well spent."
