"I used to come here with Buddy Boy, my cat. Buddy was very friendly despite being feline. The other customers, staff and management got to know him and would stop to say hi and greet him. Which he happily obliged. From shopping for canned food and catnip with me to strutting past the doggy daycare (his favorite pastime), we both had nothing but postive visits every month. Unfortunately, Buddy Boy passed away in 2020. We weren't living near Darien anymore but one of my first thoughts were of this PetsMart. My heart is still broken from Buddy leaving us. He loved going to your store, getting love from everyone: the staff, the workers and other customers. He enjoyed every minute of it. Even when I would have to fish him out of the Cat Trees. I enclosed a pic of Buddy in case anyone remembers him. He really loved you all. I cannot say I ever had a bad experience at this establishment. It's been years since I've been there. I'm confident it's still the warm inviting place it's always been."

"Had two different bad experiences here. First time was when I bought my bearded dragon. I bought a lighting kit. Lighting kit says it comes with a bulb. No bulb in box. Bring to the attention of the manager who adamantly refused to let me just grab a bulb off the shelf even after I showed him online that it came with the bulb. Returned it and went to pet supplies plus on route 53 got the same kit lo and behold there was not 1 but 2 bulbs in the box. Second was watching an employee mist the bearded dragon cages. Those are desert lizards humidity in their tanks is not only bad for their health it makes them prone to certain diseases. Please train your employees how to care for the animals under your care. Despite these things I'm giving 3 stars because besides that one manager staff has consistently been awesome every time I go in. Some just need to care for the animals better."

"Went in to purchase some African Dwarf Frogs for a freshwater aquarium and I would highly advise you NOT to purchase from this particular store. The tank housing them had several dead fish floating inside and even 1 dead Dwarf Frog, which is a very bad sign on the quality of their water, diseases, etc. This store needs to pay more attention to their aquatic pets and clean/maintain them. I won't be purchasing any fish from this store."

"Absolute WORST GROOMING SERVICE EVER. Refused to service my healthy dogs bc they were older and it was too difficult leaving me in a TERRIBLE situation even though I am able to take them to the PetSmart downers with no problem. Don’t take your dogs to the Darien location. Lazy and irresponsible. They were fine sending me to another location bc they aren’t equipped to actually do WORK for dogs that require it. I’ll be making sure corporate knows how they LET me book this appointment, drop the dog off, LEAVE and then decide they didn’t want to service her. And when they called didn’t even have the COURAGE to leave a message for me, they called my father who is caring for my mother with cancer to pick her up. Disgusting. Going to be sure to let everyone know including corporate what a joke the manager is. She straight LIED TO my dad by saying she hadn’t called me first. So unprofessional. Don’t be fooled by their rating. Read the one star reviews just like this. Rude to those who are inconveniencing them. I’ve left a lovely message for corporate too. tell me how the DG location can be SO wonderful and Darien literally employs trash.You should all be ASHAMED. May you never have a mother with cancer and an emergency with your dog you heartless humans. Evaluate the staff you employ. I will add the tech was lovely. This complaint is PURELY ABOUT THE MANAGER and the level of unprofessionalism and general knowledge is terrifying"

"WONDERFUL Customer Service and excellent helpful staff. I was so happy with the customer service I received. Above and beyond. The groomers there are accommodating and caring. They truly treat your pet as their own. I'm glad they're so close by as well. Convenient and friendly."
