Illinois Currency Exchange 336 South Mannheim Road, Hillside, IL 60162

"I have already reached out to the district manager. This is a copy and paste of what I sent to HR. The currency exchange on Roosevelt and Mannheim has a Hispanic female manager that frequently denies cashing black customers checks due to ridiculous things. I went in to cash a check and she denied me because she says I never cashed the check anywhere else. That should not matter, even though I have been cashing that same type of check for years! She did not create a new profile nor did she cash the check. So I went to another location less than 10 mins and the check was cashed no problem! The 2nd time she said she could not cash it because I had a temporary ID, I then went to another location in Brookfield and the check was cashed with no problem. This woman is hostile and in the many years I have frequented check cashing exchanges I have never been denied service due to those reasons. This woman should not work here. Lastly I sent my sister in to cash her work check. She has been working at her job 10 years! The woman denied cashing the check because she never cashed their before! You all are losing business at this location due to her bias. Because I observed her create a new profile and cash the check of a Hispanic man in line ahead of me. Please get in touch with me because I am ready to have a protest outside of this location to have her fired. This will happen if things are not rectified and/or explained in a way that shoes non-bias. She is an older Hispanic woman and she maintains she is the manager. She will not work in a diverse yet heavily black area with this bias! I am looking to protest soon and get in touch with local prominent black leaders to have her out. I am an insurance rep for Allstate Insurance and I happen to have great contacts."

"A currency exchange that closes at 6pm on a Friday? What good is that? Otherwise, the individual who runs this establishment, does an outstanding job. Always a pleasurable experience as far as as currency exchange experiences go."

"Would come here 1 time a year to get my license plate sticker and it was always an experience. Every year the lady working would always get me in a joke that would consist of me having a balance or unpaid tickets. I would fall for it every time for a minute thinking there’s no way I have any outstanding fees there must be a mistake! She kept a very straight face until she broke and said no no just kidding. Great to see someone making the best out of working at a place that can’t be a very good job. Need more people like that who are able to joke around at work. Look on the bright side people!"

"Their website said they were open 24 hours a day seven days a week. I just went there and they are not open the phone rings but I guess it goes to Bellwood Illinois"

"This place deserves NO STARS. Its supposed to be 24 hours and they even have a person answer the phone however they were not open at 8:30 PM. The lights were out however the OPEN sign was on. Very deceptive."
