DPS

DPS, located at 1401 North Sprigg Street in Cape Girardeau, Missouri, is a school institution affiliated with Southeast Missouri State University. The Department of Public Safety at Southeast works tirelessly to ensure the safety of students, staff, faculty, and guests on campus. With 15 officers specializing in different areas, DPS provides 24/7 foot and vehicle patrols throughout the campus. The institution has a network of cameras for surveillance, a lighted corridor for emergencies, and an SE Alert system to keep the campus community informed about any incidents. The officers at DPS also conduct proactive patrols, enforce laws, and provide educational programs to enhance campus safety. The University maintains a daily crime log and offers access to past years' logs for transparency and accountability.
