Reviews
"Been going to this Dr. Epstein for over 11 yrs so thankful for his thoroughness"
"Excellent Pediatrician! Provides a clear understanding of the medical needs of your child. Extremely experienced and knowledgeable. If you want the medical status of your child sugar coated, this pediatrician is not for you. Great connections throughout the hospital system so you know your child will get the best/priority care."
"Rude. Condescending. Completely lacking any kind of bedside manner whatsoever. Made an awkward family situation infinitely more awkward with the "doctor's" complete inability to keep his ridiculous, irrelevant personal opinions to himself. Sat and listened in disbelief as he insulted my son's mother, my job, my company (of which he had no knowledge prior to asking where I worked), and then had the audacity to smugly suggest that I would "dip into" my son's prescription. All this after we had to reschedule an appointment and pull our child out if school a second time because they "misscheduled" us the first time. Very frustrated and now we hear our 14 year old son complaining about the way he was "touched" when out of our sight. RUN FAST AND FAR FROM THIS DUNGEON OF UNPROFESSIONALISM!!! Seriously considering an attorney after the conversation with our son. Unacceptable does not even begin to cover the experience we had in this office. Never again!!"
"I love Dr. Epstein, nurses, and staff at Forest Park Peds. Very kind and professional. I know they want the best for my kiddos. I feel like Dr. Epstein listens to my concerns and finds a way to connect with my children. Keep up the amazing work!"
"After taking a few weeks to think over my experience I'm ready to share it with you. My son and I were absolutely traumatized by our visit here. The nurse was extremely inadequate and unprofessional. My son went there as a new patient for his 18 month well visit. My son was frightened being that the office and staff was new to him, and it was about time for his nap. When he fussed a bit the nurse said "I don't know what you're crying for, it's not like you've been getting shots." Rude. Me choosing not to vaccinte my child is my choice and my right, and doesn't elicit a comment from her. When it came time to take his weight she instructed me to place him on the scale and step back. This was odd because at any other office I've been allowed to stand with him and comfort him, well not here. My child was screaming out of fear and reaching for me. Upset with her own inadequacy, but seeking to blame the victim the nurse said "what do you do about these temper tantrums?" I explained that he was not having a tantrum, he was scared. Why didn't she, as a professional who works with children understand this?! She ended up making up a weight because she couldn't calm him down, and wouldn't allow me to help him. I should've snatched my child and left at that moment. Once we met the physician my concerns were barely addressed. I received a lecture about vaccinations and was told my child is not welcome as a patient if I don't vaccinate. A week later I received a letter in the mail reminding me to vaccinate my child or find a new doctor, and to send this office the new doctor's information so the 1 visit with forged, inaccurate weight could be sent. I felt that I was disrespected as a parent simply because my views do not align with the nurse or the doctor. It was as if they thought less of me. It should be clear that as a parent I want the best for my child, and I have done extensive research and deep contemplation in choosing to go against the mainstream in regards to vaccinations. Even though forest park pediatrics thinks differently I was respectful of them. I would've appreciated the same treatment from them. I also felt that my child was handled rather harshly. He would have appreciated some compassion. As a student at WashU, and after having heard great reviews about this office i was thoroughly discouraged, and my child was traumatized."
