"I'm sad to hear the prior reviewer was disappointed with her experience with Dr. Merkel. I know it is a very difficult time when you are diagnosed with breast cancer. I am a two-time breast cancer survivor and Dr. Merkel and Diane have helped me through both journeys. They are always quick to respond to my questions and concerns over the last ten years. He is one of the most intelligent and well informed oncologists in my experience (I know others who have gone through this with oncologists that have greatly disappointed them). I have referred others to him and they were equally as pleased with his care. Everyone has different ways of dealing with their diagnosis and treatment and should find the doctor that fits their needs and personality.
