"So impressed by the care that Ive received at New Journey PT. Dr. Kate is not only personable, kind and attentive but she also has a wealth of knowledge of L&D, of course the pelvic floor and all things women’s health. She has taught me so much in just a few sessions and I am so grateful!"
"Kate is an absolute god send. I had a baby as a teen and unaligned my hips somewhere during my third trimester(I didn't know that's what it was at the time). It gave me a lot of pain walking and everyone told me this was normal. I had my baby and the pain went away. Then I had a baby at 30 and the pain after my second semester was unbearable. I couldn't walk without shuffling. Standing up was painful. Sitting down was painful. Laying down was painful. Getting in and out of my car was a whole event. I had an ultrasound and almost passed out while laying there. My OB insisted all this was normal and her only solution was getting induced at 38 weeks. I did not want this. I wanted a natural and unmedicated birth. So after my own research, I found Kate. I made the 1.5 hour drive, and hiked up to her office praying that she could finally help me. She was so kind, so understanding, she made me feel safe and heard and she educated me on what was going on with my body. THE PAIN WAS GONE!! she educated me on what to do if it came back. I had one more session before my birth and one after my birth. I was paying out of pocket so I couldn't complete an entire program but every penny was worth it! I was able to give birth naturally and unmedicated. My son birthed himself without anybody's help. She taught me to listen to my body and it was such a beautiful experience. I had another pregnancy and now I had the knowledge and tools. I slipped in the snow and fell and my baby was fine but my pain returned. With what Kate taught me, I was able to do exercises and stretches at home with my husband and I was all better in a week. My baby girl was induced but I was again able to have an unmedicated birth. Kate has made me feel like I could easily birth 5 more children. I hope she will continue to practice if my daughter has babies. Every woman who is planning to birth needs someone like Kate."
"I saw Dr. Liz for about 3 months postpartum and honestly, it was one of the best experiences I’ve ever had with a medical professional. I came in because of pain with intercourse after having a baby, but also had a long list of other issues that I thought maybe she could help with. And sure enough, after like 10 sessions, I feel not only like I’ve recovered from childbirth scar pain, but also I’ve learned so much about my body and SO many things that I thought I’d just have to live with forever are resolved (like chronic UTIs, period pain, lower back pain etc.) Ladies, these things may be “typical” but they are not “normal.” Pelvic floor therapy with Dr. Liz is worth every penny and I’m so grateful for her dedication and knowledge about the female body. I only wish I’d found out about her sooner and gone to see her while I was still pregnant. I feel confident she would have been invaluable in easing pregnancy pains and helpful in preparing for labor and delivery. Pregnancy and postpartum is a really difficult season. Seeing Dr. Liz was a highlight in my week, made me feel so supported, significantly improved my pain, and taught me so much."
"Dr. Kate was fabulous. I started going to her in my third trimester to work through some nerve pain and prepare for labor. She helped me figure out what positions would be best for pushing so as not to aggravate my nerve pain as much and gave me exercises so I could head into labor feeling confident and strong. Post Partum she helped me navigate my unplanned c-section recovery with focus on my scar and tissue healing, exercises to challenge me throughout various stages of recovery, and to feel prepared to get back into regular exercising. I highly recommend Dr. Kate and New Journey PT!"
"I've been working with Kate prenatally and now postpartum. I am so grateful for the work that we did prenatally which 100% helped me in preparing for and actually achieving an unmedicated vaginal delivery with a relatively smooth and quick recovery. Postpartum, she has been helping immensely with pain, pelvic floor recovery, core strength and endurance, and even breastfeeding. She is truly a pelvic floor rehabilitation expert, and I do not say that lightly as I am a rehabilitation physician. She marries science and function in her individualized guidance of your treatment/rehab plan, and her friendly demeanor puts you at ease. I highly recommend working with her if you are looking for truly excellent personalized pelvic floor rehab."
