"We refer to Solid Foundations often. They have a stellar group of clinicians and comprehensive couples therapy treatment. We really enjoy working with Irene and her practice!"
"Solid Foundations is my go to for all things relationship related. The staff is knowledgable and always willing to collaborate to share resources. Their dedication to being life-long learners, and commitment to their clients is always apparent."
"I won't give any advice but I will offer my experience: My partner and I only went here twice. We were going through a lot as he had moved in quite recently (although we had been dating for 5 years), our communication was terrible, and he would angry at the drop of a dime. I thought there might be a lot of underlying resentment due to my history of substance use in the past and really wanted to work through this. Simply put, we had a seasoned relationship and dynamic issues. For whatever reason, im not sure if it was due to availability, but we got paired with Andriana. She was nice, but the approach was not good for this particular situation. I would bring up an issue and it was almost like we would have an individual therapy session. I went in hoping for US to work through things as a team, not me working through things and my partner watching. It was weird. There was literally one time where my significant other said I didnt remember things properly and she spent the whole time trying to convince me I might have a brain condition. I told her look, there were a lot of things from the past that I dont remember but I can certainly recall daily events, can we discuss something else? And she insisted we discuss THAT. The times she did offer advice to the both of us, it would be stuff like "put up a calendar so that you remember dates" or something about putting a chalkboard on the fridge to mark places you want to go together. Anyway, I had to end the sessions because as I said, he is volatile and I didnt want to have to pay the cancellation fee should he skip out, he said he wouldn't go and things were done. They tried to call and talk about it but I didn't see the point as nothing valuable was accomplished in the sessions. Now here is my upset: my boyfriend barely ever brought up my memory before these sessions, and afterwards he treated me like I couldn't remember anything. I began to question my entire reality. And I dont believe that would have happened if we wouldn't have been discussing me having a possible BRAIN injury. Eventually because he would constantly "break up" with me, go spend a few nights somewhere and come back, argue over stupid things, and pretend like i didnt have a brain, I gave up. I need security and calm. I can't have chaos in my life. And im having a really difficult time due to finding out he was about to propose. I hope this makes sense because overall the place was nice and I dont blame anyone for our relationship dissolving. I just really wish they would have taken a different approach because then I may have considered going back when they called, and things may have ended a little differently. I know everyone has their own preferred methods, but if I could offer a suggestion, maybe have everyone contribute during the session and try not to focus in on one person. I was being told I may have brain damage and meanwhile, I was paying for the sessions and suggesting therapy in the first place. Lol. Never again."
"I did individual therapy here with interns for about a whole year…. I discussed a situation I had involving a traumatic experience that did not help me. She than insisted that she was going to enforce that situation on to me because she didn’t feel I was safe. I expressed to her multiple times that I’m fine right now and don’t need anyone sent to me. I just wanted to discuss and maybe actually get some help but instead I was being told I’m not being compliant because I already know how that whole show goes and it doesn’t help me. I’m very disappointed in the intern currently working there. I don’t feel like she was listening to me and honestly yes she’s an intern but hasn’t helped me all that much. Just stick to the experienced therapists that your insurance covers because this made my day even worse."
"I have worked with Irene on and off for a couple years now for different relationship issues (romantic relationships and family). She does amazing work and I always leave her sessions feeling better and having more control over my choices and the direction I want to take my relationships in. She is direct, understanding and goal based which works very well for me. I can't recommend her enough!"
