"I see they have two locations. I started going to TG since Dec of last year. It was easy to get setup and working with a therapist. Then on April I receive a notice that my card was charged for Transformative growth. I then see that they started charging me out of network for the same therapist. Easy mistake. I called them and asked them 'what's going on' at 8am and they said they will see and will call back. The next day at 6pm I receive an email stating my deductible reset in Feb. (not true) and informed me that I must pay. After a heated discussion of the issue they saw it was in fact their mistake as I met my deductible in January and they started to charge to out of network on accident. So they can't handle billing right. But this pales next to how they treat their patients, or 'customers' to them. I was seeing a therapist for 5 months when there termination happened suddenly. Now let me tell you HOW THE OWNER OF THE COMPANY THOUGHT WAS A GOOD IDEA TO DO. The owner thought it was a good idea to send a text message to all of my therapist's patients through an employee from the billing department. I know because the same person who contacted me about the bill was the one who sent the text message. They texted all the patients at 10 PM on the 7th stating the therapist no longer works there and effective the 8th he can not speak nor communicate to any of us. So of course I call and you can guess at 10PM no one is there to answer. The text message was the most impersonal text you could ever send and they mass texted this to all the patients. In the message it starts with a Greetings! Who send a text, informing you that the person who you are sharing you emotional bond with has been terminated and start it off with a cheerful "Greetings!" I'll tell you who, a person who does not think of the subject at hand. This is transformative growth. They are a company with good therapists but their business aspect is just that you are a paycheck to them, not to be treated but to get there money. I will advertise to stay away from this place from now on. I will also include the text message that they have sent to all of us at 10 pm followed up by an email at 1030pm so they decided to text us all then email us later, as an image so that you all can read what they mass texted us all. How condescending to say they will cover one session with a new therapist after all the stuff you built with your previous one. How dare they even think we care about being a patient at there place first not how are we feeling about the fact that we lost a person who you have developed such an in-depth report. This also reflects on the therapist who chooses to stay working there, knowing that this is how their bosses treat there patients. They will look at you and see you are not valuable enough in profit and will just drop you. They do not care about you but your money and they are only barely holding it together it seems because they are having licensed therapist also handle the phone calls and customer support too because again when i called i got a licensed therapist working the phones. Frankly it doesn't matter what reason my therapist did to get this reaction. The owner thought that a text message to a group of people at 10 pm was a good idea to tell people who are dealing with their own demons and inadequacies. If you had abandonment issues what does it feel like? If you felt like you never were taken seriously, this of course cements that feeling. If you are seeing a therapist who, in their right mind, would think that a text message was a good idea to inform others about an immediate termination (the owner did). This person showed to me that what there first priority is money and not trying to lose a customer. There was no concern about the persons needs and really the therapists who work here need to take a good hard look and see what they are putting their name on, because if they have their name tied to a place that solely cares about money then that means these therapists are here for the money first."
"Transformative Growth's billing team incorrectly charged my appointments for six months (half of a year) and then retroactively changed the cost of each session and left me with a $1000 outstanding bill. The quality of their therapists means nothing to me if I can't trust them with something as basic as running my insurance correctly. I would highly advise against anyone giving them payment information."
"I'm currently in the middle of attachment therapy and it has been a total life-changer. I'm learning how to cope with my intense emotions, and my therapist is helping me to understand why I react to things the way I do. If you're considering a counseling service, I highly recommend it!"
"Giving 1 star because You have to to leave a review. Horrible experience with Ethan in billing truly horrible, charges taken out of my account with no communication on more then one occasion, lots of threats made that he could give me a bad credit score, and very unprofessional and rude. Update: Thank you to Rob for reaching out and doing what he could to try and fix the situation."
"I had been looking for a new counselor for quite some time and my search came to an end once I came here. I felt so comfortable and at ease. My therapist was extremely attentive and very knowledgeable. My life has a new focus and I couldn't be happier. I would highly recommend coming here to anyone."
